  • That's really kind of your work Becca, sounds like you had a nice day :)

What a pain TL, glad it all got sorted in the end though

Love the dream Faerie! Can't believe what's our hormones can do when it comes to sleep. Glad I got my haircut the other day though otherwise this would be on my mind when they come to show me the back!

It's really thoughtful of you all to start a collection Con and I can fully understand the upset in reading those stories. It's such a wonderful supportive charity.

Sounds like you had a really busy morning MrsB. Your OH must b shattered, but I'm glad that it's getting better and you are back home. Take it easy :)

Thanks for everyone's input on antenatal classes too, I dropped in the form today and am actually feeling more chilled about it having heard everyone's thoughts on it. Glad your NCT class was okay today Kynthia, would you say its worth the expense?

AFM - I had my GTT test today and must admit it was a little bit of a drama. Had real problems getting the blood again so was at hospital for over 4 hours in the end, 11 needle marks all over my hands and arms and eventually ended up in the Labour Ward (luckily just for another attempt at bloods!). Finally done though and although pretty bruised and tired glad its over. Just hoping that I don't hear from them now and the results are all good.

Hope everyone else is okay. How's things Kerri? Hope they are starting to progress x

Edit: Whoops just saw your post Kerri, glad your doing okay

Jemb - Still sick everyday, thats horrible. Is there nothing the docs can give you?
There are loads of things that they *can* give but there is often a reluctance to prescribe medication or to prescribe different things if first/second line meds don't work. (Though some poor people do actually get given everything and are still sick all the time.)

Now the group have to start arranging our own get togethers and I wondered if anyone here had any ideas? Apart from a pub or coffee shop, can anyone think of a good first get together for 16 people that isn't too noisy and we can mingle well?

That would have been alot better. We got told we had to have the first at someones house after we've had all babies, so works out very early March. My darling Hubs volunteered us!

In a really odd way it doesnt really bother my IYSWIM? I kind of break off, be sick, then get back to whatever I was doing! Before I was pregnant I was a real jessie with being sick, I'd cry like a real drama queen. But since this I've got over myself lol. I dont really as a result see the need to take anything, just get on with being sick then get back asap to wht I was doing.

Does everyone get home visits from the health visitor? I haven't had one and don't know of any booked. I would be mortified if she just showed up unannounced:eek:
It seems to vary whether they do it before or after the baby is born depending on your area but I've never heard of it being done without either a letter or phonecall beforehand so you know to expect them.

    Hi ladies,

Just popping in to confirm my queue jumping! I'm going in for induction on the 23rd and tbh I'm terrified! I've been through it before with my son so should know better but it all seems very real now :/

OH told me to get car seat tomorrow as well :) So car seat, pram and moses basket, that will be a lot ticked off my never ending list.

I'm 99% on babystyle oyster still, read lots of reviews tonight so far, undecided on which carseat, there are a few compatible ones. I'm also unsure reg ISOFIX but told OH that I will just get the actual seat tomorrow and then we can look into the isofix. My car does support it but baby will also be in other peoples cars too and I am thinking wether it's worth the money or not (trying to be a moneysavingexpert LOL)

I found that morning sickness was different to normal being sick in that I could throw up, then half an hour later want to eat something, and sometimes even carry on.

But when I was puking 8-10 times a day all I could do was lie on the sofa or bed, I felt like I was dying!

Kynthia I felt the hiccup thing yesterday! It lasted for a good couple of minutes!

    Lovely presents becca!

    Glad you're ok mrs bunny.

Con I read some precautionary stuff on their website the other day, it really scares me.

I've bought a cabriofix seat which will go on the Oyster.

I do have isofix in my car but our friend has sold us easy bases which aren't ISOfix but go in with a seat belt but means we can put the seat onto the base, so no faffing with seat belts when taking the seat in & out. I would have bought the easy fix base if she hadn't sold them to us so cheap.

The britax fits the oyster too.

There is also an oyster car seat but no idea if there is a base, if you wanted one of those.

Im pretty sure most ISO fix seats can go in to cars with a seat belt too though, so it doesn't matter if other people cars don't have it.

Thanks, that helps a lot. Going to look further into the bases as they are pretty expensive if we don't use them much, however if we will use it a lot then it's perhaps an investment...

PS.. did you get a good deal for carseat ? I'm looking just now at the ones to fit the oyster.
