    afternoon ladies

Had a very successful mw appointment this afternoon, baby is head down now! Was worried baby would still be transverse. Head is still free though.

No problems with my bloods and heartbeat sounded good and strong.

    Appointment every 2 weeks now....

Cant believe how quickly its going now, anywhere between 5 - 10 weeks to go.

smlsave was good to read your birth plan. Think I'll try to do something similar with bullet points.Nothing to add from me.

    off for nct class tonight.

    32 weeks

Eeek! I will amend it right away to episiotomy only by fully professional person

I'm pretty sure it was the midwife who did mine with DD1.

Basically you want whoever routinely does them - a bit like when you have blood taken, the nurses are often better at it than the doctors because they have so much more practice!

Back from picking up our wallpaper :D
Baby is kicking away, seems lower down than usual, I don't have a clue what position he/she is in but have midwife on Monday so I guess they will tell me.

I'm eager to get the nursery done now !

The girls in work have picked up Ewan the sheep for me, they said they have me another little leaving surprise too, only 4 weeks to go in work !!

Jemb - hope your sweep went ok :)

Claire - I had diamorphine and it was fab. No sickness but G&A made me puke a few times but still good:D I also had an epidural. Could probs have done without if labour had been shorter but that level of pain for so long got unbearable. I didn't see the needle or feel anything when it went in, I was just sooooo grateful I was going to get a bit of relief :)

SmlSave - I would clarify what they would class as urgent for episiotomy. Some of them seem a bit scissor happy  I've had episiotomy and a tear and the tear didn't affect me at all whereas it took about a month to recover from the cut. In saying that the cut was by a junior doc who didn't know what she was doing *shudders*
So I'd say to Fran-o, include no junior docs as some of them are basically students too, getting experience in different areas of medicine.

AFM- As I'll be having DS a week early that puts me firmly in the top ten!!!

    35+2

Did the diamorphine make you feel spaced out/out of control at all?

I'd really like to stick to g&a but want to avoid an epi because I want a water birth but hearing some of the side effects of diamorphine put me off but the teacher did say it can affect people very differently.

I just hope gas & air doesn't make me sick or I might loose my mind and ask someone to just bash me over the head & wake me up once it's done lol!

I've watched too many epis being done on tv I should never have looked!

I've had 2 drs tell me the hard part that I can feel I thought was the head, they thought was the back or bum and lower down was the head.

However the scan I had showed it was indeed the head! And she had her legs up and feet by face. So i no longer believe what they say!

The midwife hasn't done it yet she said last time there was no point as it was still early. I'm hoping the baby will turn soon!

Sitting watching tv on an exercise ball as twice now today I've got up from the couch & it feels like I've been smacked between the legs with a bat.

Also supposed to help turn the baby. Just hurts my back, I love slouching on the settee!

I could cry right now, but I'm determined not to as I've only cried once this pregnancy when I found out I was very likely to be made redundant! My seller is now acting surprised that the time has come to exchange contracts and actually move out of my future home! Despite telling them 11 days ago that we were now ready to sign contracts and then did so last Friday, she has not even signed hers yet and hopes to do so this Friday morning! Despite working towards an end of Jan completion date from the beginning and the fact that I'm due 3rd March, she now wants most of February to 'sort herself out'! Well what the hell was she doing all of January, didn't she realise she was selling??? So now unless I threaten to pull out or reduce the price we're willing to pay, which I'm very very tempted to do considering we didn't renegotiate based on the survey due to not wanting to slow the purchase down, I will be moving less than 7 days before my due date!!!!!!!

Plus my last week of work has not been good with having to have horrid meetings with someone that I won't go into and then getting my appraisal which wasn't as good as I was expecting.

My arm is killing me from the whooping cough jab, I think I'm getting Braxton Hicks in the evenings but it's a continuous tightness and nasty feeling rather than contractions, my PGP is feeling really bad and I spend all evening uncomfortable, and I have nasty acid reflux tonight! Hubbie's book mentioned I was entering the 'fed up' stage soon but I think I got there quicker than expected. :rotfl: I feel like external stress has ruined most of this pregnancy and my baby will be damaged by cortisol. :(
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

Been up since 5.30, and awake since 4! I shouldn't have been so smug yesterday about sleeping so well the night before! I seem to be falling into a pattern of getting 1 decent sleep every 3 nights! :o I've also woken up with a sore throat so feeling a bit sorry for myself, when OH gets up I'm going to crawl back into bed for a little extra nap! :o

Massive hugs Kynthia. Wish I knew how to help but I don't! :o Can you take a few *you* days to destress and forget about all the crap going on right now? I'm sure baby will be fine BTW so don't worry about that! :)

Thanks for sharing hyour birth plan Smlsave, I think after seeing yours and reading the other ladies' comments I'm going to put something small together just so it looks like I have actually thought about it! :o

I'm in a really weird in betweeny place now... so ready to get my body back and have my baby in my arms but then again absolutely papping myself at what's about to happen! Had some BH last night and got really properly panicky that I'm actually going to go into labour at some point soon and there's no going back!

Hope you don't have any problems putting the wallpaper up Con! I love that design so I'm eager to see how it looks when you're finished! :)
