Awesome news MPM, huge congratulations, thanks for sharing your very positive story too!
I'm number two on the list now, eek!

Hips still sore and slept badly too so a bit fragile today. Went out for a drive with hubby this morning as I was feeling fed up being stuck at home. But back on the bed now and probably in the bed soon! Three days til due date feels very strange...

Wow! Great news MPM congratulations :-)

Well I got most things for the hospital bag; still need nipple cream from mother care (no way am I paying £10.49 in Boots and I didn't like the smell/feel of Boots own), witch hazel (where in boots should that be?! We looked everywhere and even staff had no idea!) and a couple of ready to drink milk cartons just in case.

I got my breast pads on 3 for 2 so got 3 boxes of 40(!) and got two packs of 10 pads. I used to get my contacts from Boots so get 10% off own brand products so they were only 94p a packet. Think I'll get 2/3 more packs before the time comes.

Other than that think I'm set; had planned to use just the changing bag but think I will change that and use the changing bag for baby and then a similar sized handbag I have for my stuff. I don't plan on being in too long so my plan is to pack a holdall with some other bits and leave it at home - then if i need it/have to stay in bf's parents can call round and bring it in to be useful haha

Hi ladies, I have a grobag swaddle thing, free to a good home. Someone gave it to me but I never used it as ds was born in the heatwave last summer, it has animals on it and is gender neutral. If anyone would like it, pm me and ill happily pop it in the post

Slightly different from the topic of visitors after birth but connected in a way. We had wanted 24hrs after the birth to get used to our baby boy just us and our 2 daughters. We also wanted to use the time to see if we liked the name hubby had chosen etc. hubby text his family when I had Joshua but didn't tell them to keep it to themselves (shouldn't have to really!). Attention loving sister-in-law posted it on FB instantly along with baby's full name and tagged us both in it! I came out of hospital 6hrs later to our phones beeping away as messages/texts/fb posts/calls etc started coming through. I'm still very upset about it as colleagues saw it before aunts/uncles, close friends etc. plus, as I had lost a baby a year before, I made friends with others with Angels and had wanted to privately message them to tell them and warn them to avoid my page if it may upset them but thanks to SIL over 100 people had seen it before I was even out of hospital. If any of you have a family member like that, you may wish to tell them not to plaster it on the internet until you're ready. It put a massive dampener on our day and I was also quite annoyed at hubby for not telling his sister to keep it to herself (she doesn't even care about the baby, just attention), not how we thought our special day would go. :-(
