    Congratulations mince pie monster! :D

Re angel's experience you can set your privacy settings on fb to check all tags with you before "going live" and turn off Wall posts - so if this is a concern to you then you could consider doing it that before telling anyone.

Lush - with the savlon etc? I ordered my hospital bag stuff online from boots to collect in store so not certain where they keep it but this is the one I got. We managed to get this from Sainsbury once discharged.

Also recommend getting nipple cream (I bought lasinoh from Amazon when it was a 3rd off, on recommendation from friends and midwife, as it specifically said you didn't have to wait/wipe off before the next feed). I've been using it since the second day I think, and haven't had any issues with sore/cracked nips at all. It's also great for your lips if they get dry ;)

  • BigZippy - I do have that setting to let me know if anyone tags me but I've been with hubby a long time so lots of his friends/family are mine too so even though I hadn't yet agreed to the post, some of dh's family members had seen her status (both our names, baby's name etc) and then wrote on my wall, then others saw in their newsfeed that people in common had written on my wall etc so it made no difference having that on there - it spread like wildfire! Annoying as I went into hospital and had baby during the night so would've got away with nobody knowing if she hadn't put it in there! Xx

Congratulations mincepiemonster, sounds like an ideal birth! Hope you and your little lady are settling in well together.

Re: nipple cream, I'd second the recommendation for Lansinoh, I found it an absolute life saver with DD. I'd also suggest getting some nipple shields in just in case - ended up with DH making a mad dash to Tesco's on the midwife's recommendation last time, completely frazzled on next to no sleep and looking for something he knew nothing about, bless him! They really helped me keep going when I had cracked and bleeding nipples due to DD's trouble latching on (sorry if TMI!)

Congratulations MPM, very eventful 24hrs indeed!

Me and DH deactivated our fb accounts temporarily from when I was told I'd be induced until I could confirm with parents that the whole family knew so there was no way for anyone to post on walls or tag us in anything.
I didn't trust my sil not to post anything as she put on fb when her grandma died at one in the morning when no one knew about it except immediate family, so there were some very upset friends and relatives who woke up to find out through fb

Re: visitors, I was in hospital so it was easier as there was only an hour in the afternoon and evening and only 3 to a bed. Plus I was going stir crazy so was happy to see other faces lol plus I was excited to show my baby off :)

Anyone wanting to buy lansinoh it's currently 6.66 on amazon! I'm just trying to find something else to buy to make it up to a tenner for free postage! X

Has anyone every got a really sharp pain when they have moved in a certain way ? I just went to get up quickly from the sofa and had a really bad pain somewhere down below ( bum/vagina kind of area) was quick and sharp but very intense....

I was fine right after and still am :/

I get this con1888 especially when I stand up. It soon disappears as I get moving.

I scared poor DH this morning by waking up yelping, it was terrible leg cramp (still hurts now) but he got panicked that it was the baby.
