    Hi all,

I am shattered today, completely wiped out and I almost slept through last night ( 1 toilet trip). Only worked till 2.50pm as had a MW appointment, can't believe how tired I am.

MW is very happy with my scan results from yesterday, nearly jumping on her chair with delight!! Really prising the technology they now have at hospital rather than her tape measure!! ( she is an older MW )

She said baby is in a lovely position and fingers crossed he will stay there. She was also pleased that I want a water birth, said the water would really help my back pain. For once, all positive comments at MW appointment and I only had to wait 20 mins on the wooden chairs!!!!

I have finally washed all my baby clothes, just need to iron them now, so can't wait to dress this baby, also can't wait to get abit of colour in his wardrobe!!! White is boring!! ( won't buy gender related clothes just in case......)

Don't think its an "official" craving but cant stop eating creme eggs! Oh how I love the run up to easter! :D

claire its so annoying when you get put through to one numpty after another at a call centre.

Yeah I told her she was just giving me 'computer says no' answers and not finding a solution to the problem and there was no way I was going to store.

So I after my rant on their Facebook page which I then forwarded to their other email address, I've had an apology for the faulty gloves, a new pair are being sent out and I am to just return the faulty ones in the envelope & my comments passed on. Which is exactly what I suggested to them before!! The only problem is they said the gloves are low in stock so there is a chance the order could be cancelled, but at least they have tried now. Just a shame the idiot in customer services didn't do the same thing in the first instance!

DH bought me 2 creme eggs yesterday, the second one is getting eaten tonight!

I've also discovered another smell I like- Anti freeze! Eek! Clearly I'm not going to deliberately breathe it in but wow that smells good right now when I have to de ice the car!

squirrel it must feel strange. I'm not being replaced (other team members stepping up in my absence) but I've already told them no one is to pinch my desk!

I really didn't like that the woman replacing me was waiting to jump into my chair the minute I left! I had to clear my desk and bring my personal things home/put everything worky into 1 drawer to make space for her... made it feel like I was erasing my presence from there- don't want people to forget me! :o

Hope the coat actually arrives before it's too warm to use Claire! :p What a saga!

Bra size, my boobs haven't actually grown (still a small C, got a weird shape bust though so they're actually smaller than a 'proper' C :o) but my back size has gone up to a 38. Kind of hoping that they get big once my milk comes in, even just for a few days so I can enjoy being well endowed for once! :p

Off to a baby sensory class with SIL and nephew tomorrow afternoon to see what the fuss is about. :)

Kerri I have small boobs & I just can't imagine them getting to that size! That's what happened to my friend too and she still can't get over it! Her little girl is 1 now and I think she's just stopped feeding her so don't know what will happen now!

Some of your smell cravings are making me laugh. I seem to have missed this symptom along with food cravings and getting tearful at things.

Becca, we have the same due date and I don't yet have the house I intend to be living in, a pram, car seat, Moses basket mattress, play matt, bouncer, or a potential name! I think I trump you in the denial stakes. It doesn't help that I'm the last due date in my NCT group which has lulled me into thinking I have ages. :)

Work are still squeezing every drop out of me. I'm stressed and working late every night, like today I won't get him until nearly 9pm. However I have insisted on a day off this week and next, and then I'm gone! I have a lot of plans for Feb and I hope completing on the house is one if them. If it falls through again and I spend my maternity leave not by my friends and family I won't be held responsible for my actions!!!!

Mmmmmm cream eggs - I had one the other day :)

My job has gone to advert and they will be interviewing soon. I will be training them before I go off - I hope they realise they are only 'baby sitting' my post and I will be back. Its three days a week and suits our family life well - my partner works full time. There is some flexibility and that is a good thing to have.

Little miss has been moving lots - I know this might sound totally odd but I am 24 weeks on Sunday and this feels like the next milestone to me - but after this one its birth!

I'm glad other people are feeling weird about leaving work too...

I'm a teacher and half my class have been "mine" for 18 months, including 3 boys with quite severe behaviour issues, but their progress has been amazing... the new teacher started on Monday, took them for the afternoon yesterday, I wasn't sure she'd be back today, after I was asked after school yesterday to go back to teaching them again until Friday!!! They went downhill sooooo much, but they are just going to have to get over it!!!

anyway, from Monday I'll be there for 3 more weeks, but I won't be teaching them... instead I'll be writing reports, meeting parents (to avoid a 12 hour day with parents eve's when I'm 38 weeks!) and working 1:1/small groups.

Other than work all is fine with me. I can't believe I'm saying it, but I think we might even be ready! Just need to collect pram and car seat on Feb 1st, then we've got it all here. Eeeeek!

  • All this talk of cream eggs is making me want one. I don't generally eat 'Easter' food until Easter week as otherwise I'd live on cream eggs, malteaster bunnies and hot cross buns! I used to save them up for Holy week hehe or give them up for Lent - sneaky ;)
That said I've seen my dad tonight (came to the big shopping centre with me to sort my charm, met me on the train as their village is half way between where I am and the shopping centre plus its free now he has his bus pass haha) and he bought me a little chocolate chick filled with mini smarties...might try and save it :-P

Finally eating better at work when it comes to lunch and boy does it show in how I feel in the afternoon! Plus getting better at eating decent meals whilst bf is away :-) that said I shared a pizza hut express meal deal with dad tonight then he bought me two pretzels haha. Only eaten one and a third pretzel at the moment though haha

Mil has invited me to theirs for tea tomorrow so just breakfast and lunch to sort :-). Not sure if I should take something with me. Wouldn't usually but haven't seen her much lately.

Bf has just messaged to say he's been to the huge mall near their hotel in Canada...apparently he's bought bubs stuff and nothing for himself hahah

durham_girl ooo just noticed its induction day for you tomorrow. Good luck. Sending you lots of good labour vibes.

Thank you! I have to admit that I'm really scared :/ Baby is back to back at the minute and I know from experience how painful labour is like that! I really don't want an epidural either or diamorphine tbh as I was out of it for my son's birth as I'd not long since had a shot of diamorphine and I'd like to remember a bit more of it as there's no way I'm doing it again!

Fingers crossed the other due/overde ladies see some action soon!

I finish work next Friday, it can't come quick enough! I'm so ready to be on mat leave. DH wants me to phone in sick tomorrow as I really can't keep my eyes open (had a nap earlier n now not tired!) but I feel really bad as there is nothing wrong really, will see in the morning.

Nobody is covering me, the one lad they employed to cover my other colleague mat leave will prob get his contract extended to cover mine as she is due back in march. Also our office will be expanding, doubling in size in 2014 so will be employing more staff anyway, it's always good to know HQ want to extend and grow a regional office, least there will be work for me when I do go back.

Must try and go to sleep and not think about cadburys cream eggs........yum yum have so far avoided buying. It must stay like that!!!!
