I felt like that Squirrel, like packing the hospital bag was admitting it was all real! I think I did it about 36-37 weeks in the end. It's in the lounge with a list of the last minute additions: phones and chargers, snacks, medical notes, magazines, change for hospital car park. Still hoping I won't need it for another week!fran-o0

Another leg cramp sufferer here! Can only sleep for about an hour on each side before my hip hurts and I get cramp in my thigh and have to turn over! Then by the time I have turned over I am awake!
The joys of being pregnant and I am only 18 weeks!Expecting Baby No 1 - 20/06/14 - Team Yellow!0 -
Afternoon.
Scan went well this morning, nothing to worry about everything is perfectly normal and fine. Baby is head down too so has moved from breeched a few weeks ago.
Pop my mums afterwards and she treated me to lunch in the local pub, yum. Just home now chilling with my feet up. So relieved everything is ok with the little man.Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!0 -
Very pleased for you mrs bunny scans are nerve wracking.
Went to the library this morning, haven't been in around 7 years! Got out some pregnancy, birth & nursery books then figured I will swap them for baby raising type books in 3 weeks! Don't know why I didn't go there more often before. I also got leaflets on all the times of the mums/dads & baby groups there.
Nct tonight - can't wait as were doing massage!0 -

good idea Claire -I am going to pop that on my list of things to do on mat leave, I haven't joined our local library since moving to this area, in fact I do not know where it is but I know the village has one as I see posters in the local shops.
my mum thought I was only 33 weeks today, somehow she lost 2 weeks ( I blame her xmas holiday round the Caribbean!!!) she nearly fell off her chair in the pub when I said I was 36 weeks on Friday!! then she was so giddy like a little girl with excitement saying she just can not wait for this baby. Then she was fishing for any names we had decided on, I did actually tell her one of our boy names as I just couldn't keep it to myself any more and she loves it and promised to keep zip. I did say its on our list for 'boys' (only DH and I know the gender) and it could change. I felt like the parent today babysitting my mum!!!
hope you enjoy your class tonight Claire, I wish I have done more classes now, I might see if there are any last minute ones when I go on mat leave next Friday as I do need to do something while waiting for little man.Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!0 -
Oooh hugs to everyone suffering with random cramps and hip etc pains. I agree that pregnancy makes you feel about 90!
I've got my bag nearly all ready to go (just need to dig out a bikini top and an old t-shirt) but it feels so weird actually putting it in the car and admitting that I'll need it soon! Went to make a hair appointment for Thursday and the lady looked at me and said 'How long have you got left? I don't need to get the towels ready for you do I?!'Assured her I wouldn't pop mid-cut!
Only day 2 of my maternity leave and OH is already on at me about getting out and seeing people! I'm quite happy to just stay home and rest, especially as it hasn't been long enough to get bored!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Birdie- thanks for reminding me. I need to get a haircut while I can before the wee man is here
HV appt wasn't brilliant, I think more for their benefit so that they've met the mums to be who'll be on their caseload. Did ask if I'd have any help after the birth so I suppose it would highlight anyone needing more support and asked about any history of post natal depression and anxiety.

Thanks for letting us know how the HV appointment went. I still feel that it sounds like its a waste of time, and am not looking forward to it. But can see how it may help others. How long was your appointment?0 -
Definitely worth getting the Emma's diary packs, got one yesterday which had 1 boots nappy, some nappy cream I think & few other bits but this one is really good, whole pack of wipes!0
