6 weeks but only 16 working days to go :j
I'm getting a little worried about baby being on the large size. DS was 8lb10 and I'm definitely bigger this time! I'm hoping that as bubs is much more active than I remember being last time that it just means she's got more water/room to move about in. I doubt there's any chance of me not tearing with a 9lb+ baby!!!
DH is keeping himself busy by going out as much as possible - badminton, pub etc and is currently decorating DS's room so DS has been moved into baby's room.
I invited him to this week's mw appointment as I thought it might help him to chat to the mw and be involved in creating the birth plan but while he'll come if he 'can' :cool:he doesn't think that it'll be helpful. He just wants the birth over and done with. I think he just keeps remembering last time while I'm focusing on the positives/being optimistic.
Your baby is beautiful BZ
Re names: my friend's lad was unnamed for 5 weeks! They'd picked a name they loved and then when he arrived decided that he didn't look anything like a Jasper and so he spent 5 weeks trying out different names before they agreed on one.The book we've got is Lucy Atkins: First time parent - I really like it.
I think this is the same book that I love fran-o. I will have to check when I get home. If it is it really suits my style of parenting.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Have any of you developed a thing for liking weird smells in the third trimester?
I thought I was a weirdo but a quick google shows I'm not alone
http://babyandbump.momtastic.com/pregnancy-third-trimester/1077863-feel-like-freak-smell-obsession-anyone-have-something-similar.html
I have been loving the smell of nail varnish remover, I literally could have sat and just breathed it in - clearly I didn't! Then I think when we were in homebase looking at paints which I like the smell of anyway but this time I'm like omg that smell is amazing. It's almost like I could eat it.
And all the stuff I like the smells of are like bad chemicals!
Yes! I had it with DD and again with this little one too. With DD it was the smell of tinsel (lucky she was a December baby, really!), I would literally just stand there in the shop with an armful of tinsel breathing it in. This time it's pine trees, whenever I walk past them I have to stop and indulge
BZ, he's gorgeous! Sure the right name will come to you soon. My friend actually changed her son's name when he was 6 MONTHS old as they decided the one they chose originally didn't suit him. I was gobsmacked, but it didn't seem to do him any harm, so I'm sure a few days waiting won't offend MiniZee at all.
mincepiemonster, good luck for your sweep tomorrow! Cake Monday and pizza sounds like a good plan, I firmly believe the more things you schedule in the more likely baby is to arrive and disrupt them
blondy24, welcome! Is this your first baby?
AFM, thanks so much to those who asked how I'm getting on with the hyperemesis. The new meds seem to be keeping it under control since I got home Friday morning, so I had a quiet weekend with my feet up - well, quietish, as my 2 little godsons (2 and 8 months) came for a visit to cheer me up. Loved seeing them and getting lots of cuddles, but it was a definite reminder of what we've let ourselves in for again! :rotfl: Luckily I work from home as a freelancer, so I can take it steady this week. Next midwife appointment is in 2 weeks, so I can talk it through with her if it's still hanging around then, but TBH I think I'm resigned to it being here until delivery now. As long as I can stay out of hospital I'm happy, though, and after 4 years TTC it's all worth it!

BZ - miniZ is absolutely gorgeous, no wonder you both are completely smitten
As much as I love being pregnant and I do, I just am impatient as I wanna meet her already!! See this beautiful little person me and OH created:A
However it's just as well she's not here yet, I have a ridiculous amount of housework to do. Primarily ironing and washing, I don't mind either it's just the blooming drying in between! Right bum in gear and time to tackle the mountain of ironing, washing, hoovering and I better do something with my bedroom because it looks like a teenager has rooted through everything :rotfl:

Haha Claire that did make me giggle, have you told DH yet? I have lost all shame about bodily functions - Friday afternoon shouting down the stairs "Think I've had my show!" (I have since had several "encores" lol .... clearly doesn't mean a lot in my case!)
Thanks for all the good wishes, feeling a lot happier today. I think part of it was the fact I'd got to an unexpected weekend with a bump iykwim.0 -
Thanks for welcomes. Yes this will be our first child together. Only have 8 days left at work as cut hours down each week and finish in 4 weeks. Just feeling extremely tired at the mo.0
