He's gorgeous BZ! So very happy for you!
Hope the name magically comes to you soon! My friends had a nameless baby for a week (and a day being called the 'wrong' name!) so don't worry too much!
I haven't had the weird smell thing but a friend's Mum admitted that she had a major thing for bar soap whilst pregnant, she'd carry around a bar at all times to sniff it! Strange!
Well done on the eBaying Becca and Squirrel! :T
First day of leave today... and I was up at the usual time! Old habits die hard I suppose!
Finally got a nursing bra bought yesterday so I think that's the last thing I need for my hospital bag, can get it all zipped up and put into the car! Eeep... can't believe I'm going to be having a baby in the next 3 weeks (5 at most!).

Late congratulations to you BZ, and isn't he lovely? Looks very contented in that photo!
Don't rush for a name, our friends gave birth 8 days ago and haven't named their little girl as yet. Apparently they have got the shortlist of names from 12 down to 10!! I think we might be slow to name too, we have a small shortlist but our favourites don't match!
Meeting with NCT ante natal girls for lunch today and might do a few bits in town while I'm there. Realised we have no cellular/ baby blankets, just a couple of knitted shawls, so will see if I can find a few inexpensively.
Yesterday went to see my gran, had a pub lunch with hubby and then spent the afternoon doing housework.
Had a bit of an 'I'm not ready' panic last night and set up the Moses basket, it's now sitting in the nursery with muslins over to keep the dust off. My fears are partly about this new life we're about to begin (are we really ready for a baby?! Yes, we've been trying since end 2011!) and partly about the whole birth experience. Just a fear of the unknown... Hubby was good and we spent an hour or so last night in bed reading the baby book together.
The book we've got is Lucy Atkins: First time parent - I really like it.
Have a good week all xfran-o0 -
Beautiful BZ. Well done again :beer:I'm sure you will think of a name soon!
Booo for being up early Birdie, hope you have a lovely relaxing day to make up for it. Congrats on being full term too!
Lush I don't envy your OH all that traveling! It will be lovely to see little wiggly Miss again, roll on the 4D scan
Con we didn't name DD until she was 14 hours old and that was because it was 5 minutes til visiting time :rotfl:Her name wasn't even on the shortlist... but I love it now (she is called Megan Grace) This time we're even less organised and don't even have a shortlist haha.
Squirrel and Claire good luck at the post office today! Bet whoever's behind you will love youFor bigger items it's worth looking at Collect Plus+ from corner shops / online, it's only about £6 for a parcel up to 10 kg I think.
AFM - well I'm still here! Got a sweep booked tomorrow - fat lot of good it did last week though! I had a bit (OK a lot!) of a cry yesterday - I feel like I'm letting everyone down by being overdue, and I hate calling anyone only to hear the note of disappointment in their voice when I have nothing to report. I am finding it hard to keep the house neat and tidy - I was SO ready this time last week - a fridgeful of food, fresh bedding on all the beds, spotless bathroom, empty laundry basket etc - all ready for baby's arrival - and maintaining all that is really starting to get me down. Ah well, it's Cake Monday today (4 of us meet up and each bake a cake to share!) and I'm off out tomorrow night for pizza and cocktails... So I suppose it's not all bad :rotfl:

Hugs to you mpm, as much as I don't feel 'ready' now (38+6) I am also concerned about going overdue.... The housework thing is so true too, it's one thing to get the kitchen sparkling by Sunday night, quite another to maintain that through the week!
Cake Monday sounds immensefran-o0 -
BZ your little boy is gorgeous - good luck in thinking of a name, you've got 6 weeks to decide!
Birdie I bet by the end of the week you'll be having a nice lie in. I've got another 6 weeks left at work, I can't wait til I finish. It doesn't help that I can't do my actual job while pregnant so I'm an extra in an office and I don't have a huge workload. It makes the days drag...
Mincepie you're not letting down anyone by being overdue at all! Baby is just waiting until they are ready. It sounds like you've got things planned to take your mind off of it so you're bound to go into labour during one of them.
AFM we had a long day yesterday cleanbing and tidying the flat for a viewing. It all times quite nicely with my nesting instinct, but I probably did too much as I was exhausted afterwards and not much better today. It's my first day back of full hours after being off with sickness so of course I was tossing and turning all night thinking about the rush hour trfafic. Along with the normal turning as my hips hurt.
stsarina how are you getting on with the sickness? I suffered a lot with hyperemesis earlier on but I was lucky not to be hopitalised. It was hellish tho.0 -
