I've just been catching up on this thread. Most of us seem to be having a quieter month on the roadkill front. Hopefully there will be some paper finds soon.
So far I've reached the grand total of 64p.
I've found 20 coins this month; unfortunately 14 of them are pennies :rotfl:
I travelled to the uni library last night (my best source of roadkill) only to discover that term doesn't start until next Monday
I've been back since Jan 2nd. I wish that I was an undergrad student again!
Still 6 coins yesterday and 10p. It's just a shame that I ended up forking out almost £150 for an eye test and some new specs
I'm praying that my new specs improve my roadkill skills!Attempting to make £2021 in 20210 -
Thanks for signing me up.
So I found my first roadkill. It was only 1p but free money is free money!0 -
Sadly nothing new to add to my total so far but hoping tomorrow might yield some more coins0

Well.......still no friend for my 1p but I will keep searching! Went to Cheshire Oaks with DH yesterday. He thinks that I have lost the plot and is horrified that I would stop to pick up a penny. I tried to explain to him that for me, the whole point is learning the lesson of looking after the pennys and the fact that they add up. Its not as much about the "value" of the find but more about what that represents but he just does not seem to get it!!! If I do happen to come accross a larger total all the better, but if not it is not a disaster and any amount is more than I would have had had I not bothered in the first place!!
Anyway, thanks for the number and good luck with all your searches. I sense a paper find is on the horizon for someone very soon........!!!0 -
I used to be so good at this when I was a kid - in fact nearly all kids are... dunno if it's cause they're closer to the ground or just that they pay more attention to the world around them? Probably the latter tbh!
I've made a conscious effort over the last couple of days to get back into scanning the ground! On the up

5p today
(did get caught in the rose bush fishing it out, though)0 -
Nothing for me to report yet. But I'm off to the garden centre later so might get lucky. Also dug out brand new piggy bank for expected kills. Well - it's shaped like a beach hut but will do as it's got plenty of space.0

And another 2p last night.0
