45p added to mine. 40p vending machine and 5p at Tezza's. I have noticed that I haven't been looking out for notes, its time to broaden my horizons.
I was talking to my very nice Iranian work friend the other night and he told me he is always finding money and that last year he estimates he found around £400! I've never met a kinder more generous guy and am left wondering if the universe is repaying him for his kindness...who knows eh!Make £10 a day challenge Jan £231.630 -

Hi HOK3Y and all other Roadkill Rebels!! :hello:
Can I join too, please?
I've been following everyones progress since December - searching for homeless coins / notes since then, and finally found my first one today in the change dispenser of the self-service counter in S*insburys - a nice, shiny 5p coin rescued and re-homed!:www: House Deposit = 100% Purchase Fees = 44%0 -
I have looked at this thread a few times and wondered how much do you consider to be 'Road Kill'? At what point do you think about handing your finds in as found property?
Someone got £30 'road kill' from me today:(
It was my own fault but annoying none the less.0 -
Finders keepers is the motto
unfortunate but if it's just notes then there is oo way of finding an owner. If they were in a purse/wallet however it would be a different story.0 -
I found £40 earlier and handed it at the local police station.
Although it is highly unlikely anyone will come forward to claim the money. I had visions of someone struggling because they had lost £40. I felt that it was the best thing to do.
I guess that it's down to personal choice!Attempting to make £2021 in 20210 -

We will have to agree to disagree on that one. Many people do realise where they have lost/dropped it and retrace their steps. Yes they should more careful and not so careless but some cannot afford to lose it and many have other things on their mind.
I am not here to condem anyone, I am just curious.0 -

A pretty shiney penny at the bus stop today! I found 4p of WR yesterday
However, I have a question. If you pick up other people's receipts that have been left, can you, or have you ever, get told off?Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.
