The logo will have to be put on hold, as £350 is a huge amount of money to spend. Although I want to have the design as a registered mark not a generic one.
If you mean you want a personally designed logo rather than a generic one, that's not the same thing as a registered trademark.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Probably copyright is what I mean.
But it can wait.
We know what we want, it's just getting it made up, so that it doesn't distort when enlarged. Or reduced.
I bought a huge mirror and a steam press from the local selling site, ready for the shop.
Really pleased with the bits and bobs I'm getting together. At relatively little cost. £20 for a huge mirror, £30 for the press.
The display shelves were £10 for three glass and chrome units.
I also bought a vintage toy cow for fun!
Sewed well this morning, but was in and out all afternoon collecting my bits and bobs.
I also have three new alterations to do, to add to my list. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
You could have had the mirrored wardrobe doors I finally managed to get to the tip... Although you'd have needed a van for them! I have a mirror in the garage at the moment, destined for the CS. Do you want me to hang on to it for next time I see you? There are a few more things that might be useful too... I can put them aside if you like :-)0

Yes Please.
Cos you will have to visit and see what you think!
Were still due a meet with Allegra etc as well.
Let you know when I get the keys, email yesterday from landlord implied I could have a set early as I've paid the deposit etc now.
Would give me a chance to paint etc where necessary, and get stuff down there before I open.
I am now on the hunt for the desk/tables and chairs for the workshop, so I can get the classes off the ground as soon as I have those! Could be an ikea trip I think, and the most expensive part of the fit. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Hi again, I'm glad that it is all coming together for you.
Lidls special offer last week included a set of 3 height adjustable tables for £39.99. Do you have a local Lidl?

Just wondering if you have any furniture recycling places near you? My boss is hoping to pick up a small lockable cabinet for her new [STRIKE]cupboard[/STRIKE] office from one near us which takes office furniture, and we're going to get some perfectly good tables in a while as well.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Congratulations on your new shop, Mooloo! :j
Seems like everything is moving incredibly fast - very impressive! :TI am now on the hunt for the desk/tables and chairs for the workshop, so I can get the classes off the ground as soon as I have those! Could be an ikea trip I think, and the most expensive part of the fit.
..Hang on. Before blowing much of your ££ reserve in Ike@, it's worth trying charity shops, Emmaus, putting an ask on Fre@gle / Fr€€cycle / local FB page - maybe even 'phone any large companies in your area who might be updating office equipment (and check local auction rooms where such office stuff often ends up)?
Of course you need tables and chairs, and decent lighting, but the really important tools are the sewing machines - yes your Dad is bringing a couple over, but you've not seen those yet - you may have to invest in more?0 -
I have sewing lessons and take my machine so you might not need to offer that0
