Amazing how different you are to some time ago and I can't help feel it coincided to when you ditched some medication. or have I got that wrong?

Yes, I took myself off of all medication in the end. Rarely take anything now. Deal differently with pain, use heat still, massage when I can afford it. But generally I've nursed myself back to a reasonable health, although I get tired easily, still don't sleep too well, I am much improved. Doctor was amazed when I last saw him.
Changing my attitude to be more positive has also had a better effect on me and how I cope with things.
Daily I give thanks for what I have, and for continued improvements.
I have come a long way in the last two years. A very long way.

  • The abortion pill is actually a two step (2 clinic visit) process Mooloo- I hope she went back the next day for the medication that causes the womb to contract .
As you said, given the circumstances it was probably the best choice for her, however said it is.

twin2's Dad is going to Bodmin for work this week, so he said he will go and see her. ( that's a minor miracle as he's not very consistent with contact, but at least he said he will go).
Twin1 is still away at her BFs until the 1st. So DGD says she misses her Mummy, as she can't go and see her. Although she never really shows any sign of it unless someone else mentions her first.
She had a good weekend with her Grandad and his family.
3 sleeps and we are away for 3 to Norfolk, to a Park Resorts site. Then back to get ready for school on the Thursdsy, and I hope to properly start working in the shop by the Friday.
    It's all systems go.
My parents come back from France around the 3 rd or. 4th too. Can't wait to show them around.
I went to theirs on Sunday on the way back from Ikea, to cut the grass, and move the post. They have a kitchen table full of post and magazines. It will take at least a week to read it all!

Another customer coming from a yell.com advert.
Needs suit trousers altered urgently. Needs his trousers tomorrow.
Hope I have the right colour threads then!
Have a lady coming after 4pm as well with two costumes for Brackley Does Strictly this weekend.
And a lady is due to collect a jacket I altered for her from Friday. ( I forgot to write down her number ! - something I better remember to do in the future !)
So it's a stay at home day. The weather is wet and miserable so DGD is relying on the TV and her gadgets. We did read a story together earlier but I need to get back to some work now we have had an early lunch.
dGD is not booked into the after school club this week. ( thought she was). But that's ok. Saves me. £25. As earnings this month have been minimal.

    Mooloo congrats on the shop!
A thought I had, are you going to leave the machines out over night or lock them away? I thought you said they will be on the upper floors but might be worth considering.

I'm guessing from your comment above you've not got a standard form for details? A standard format would probably be very handy with the increased volume coming in so with a section for customer name & contact details, job details & description of item, any key notes about the job, amount charged & invoicing/payment details so that you can reconcile it all later

Have a lovely break away :)
    - Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
    - Student Loan gone
Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps

I'm hoping you can slap a great big SOLD sign on it ... and one saying "More on the way!"

Good luck hon - we are all rooting for you. I knew once you had taken the "Cash neutral" holiday challenge big things were afoot.

    Thanks Memory Girl.
I am going to do my best to rise to the challenges and be a success.
Bought another jacket from a friend, will be doing a transformation on that one in a few minutes. Have DS and His GF here. Need their help tomorrow while I wait for my chairs to be delivered.

Up at 6am. Yuk not had to get up immediately and creep about in a long time. Was sleeping in the bottom bunk in DGDs room, so DS and his Gf could have my room. Slept reasonably well considering in a single. Even remembered not to hit my head. Was still up to the loo a few times, and strange dreams.
Having a quick cuppa then off to the shop to wait for the delivery of my chairs. Anytime from 7am - 8pm!!!
    Hence DS here.
Made another jacket and skirt last night, and have a carrier bag of bits to take to the shop to do while I wait.
Can't open my doors to the customers though as insurance doesn't start till Monday. But I can set out my stall so to speak.
Still need to pack for our long weekend tomorrow so I really hope the delivery is sooner rather then later.

  • Just had a thought about DGD and the shop. I'm guessing she'll have to be that at some points. Would it be worth setting up an area for her with a TV/DVD player, some books, toys and a couple of beanbags to sprawl about on? It'll make her feel welcome and keep her from getting under your feet.

Will you be serving coffees & cakes at your shop? It could be a way for some really easy extra pennies. There is a huge profit margin on tea and coffee. If you go ahead and get a few comfy arm chairs you may find that people will choose to hang out at your shop and sew while they drink coffee.
