Morning from a slightly worn out Mooloo. Sore throat and cough woke me loads. Stomach muscles ache from the coughing.
We are awake here but non of us are up yet.
Teacher training days here so school doesn't start till Wednesday.
Biggest of Mooloo needs my help tomorrow as she has to go to hospital for an epidural to help control her back pain.
Luckily DS is not working so he can look after DGD for me.
Other DGD2 will be at her other granny after nursery.
Cup of tea time now. Before a slow Shove into the day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
i would block his calls,
you don't need him anymore
onward and upward , no going backwards0 -
No going back. I am determined to stay focused on that.
It is just a nuisance that I don't feel very well today, or perhaps I would be more focused on my little mini challenges at home. However I think I have to think of my health today and just take it easy. As I am needed tomorrow and back to work on Wednesday.
It was enough to washup, and do 30 minutes of ironing. It's lunchtime already, so a dig in the store cupboard and a couple of Pasta packet mixes with broccoli. Nothing special, but a hot meal on such a wet and dull day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I officially give up on doing anything of use today. I am not getting anywhere and the energy is just not happening. All I have succeeded in doing is a little hand sewing in front of the TV. Mended a t shirt of DS's and was going to repair a pair of DGDs jeans but can't reach the scraps of denim and gave up!
Tomorrow is another day after all.
DS did go out for milk for me and a copy of the Sun newspaper. I don't usually buy a paper but want to try and get the tokens so I can take DGd on a holiday again. We went the year before last to Devon and Cornwall. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning, I was in bed before 9pm last night. The throat is still not good. But I am just taking it slowly.
I had a bit better night at least. DGD was up around 8am. Will need to wake her for school tomorrow.
DS has no more work, so he is on his Xbox etc up in his room. I have not really done much this morning. A little washing up, and tidying in the kitchen. Put some kidney beans into soak, thinking of trying some of those refried beans recipes. But I have been on the Skype with my parents for quite a while having a chat.
I am having problems with my iPhone, so its been switched off for a little while, so that I can see if that works. So I have delayed in getting on line, having to dig out the laptop etc. Least I know its not my internet, but that its the phone.
Today the sun is shining out there, so for once I can actually sit here in the front room without a light on.
I am feeling the cold on my feet still. DS lives in an icebox in his room and the draft is coming down the hallway! So I think I will be making a door draught excluder, and putting it on the outside of his door!. Thinking that it may need to have a rod or something like Velcro on the inside of the door, and go under the door, so that when the door is opened and closed it goes along with the door. I will look into measuring it up etc later on.
This lunchtime I am off to look after Biggest of Mooloo, and take her to the hospital for the epidural she needs in her spine. DS will take care of DGD for me.
Dad has found some drawings of a ship in his loft and wanted to know where it had come from. It was something that I found in the loft of my Pub some 30 years ago!. I thought my ex husband had it. But as its the plans type drawing, my brother in law, who is a carpenter, was interested in them, so I said to Dad to let him have them. I think he will frame them and put them up in his house out in France. Who knows he may even try and build something similar in his old age he said.! (Central France is a bit far from the sea side though!).
Anyway enough rambling on, I need to get on and get ready to go and help Biggest.
But just to let you know that I am feeling a bit better, and more positive again today. Looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, and getting DGD back to school and with her friends. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
DS a d his girl friend kept me company in the evening, while we waited for the Ex to return DGDs bike etc. he came under cover of darkness and left our stuff at the side of the house , and then when he was out of sight text me to say it was there. I cello taped his key etc in an envelope on the door. As he didn't want to see me.
Not that I wanted to particularly see him either really. Easier not to, to be able to keep the resolve so to speak.
Sounds like he has a LOT of growing up to do. He must be a very childish man. I can't imagine a full grown man behaving like a toddler! You are well rid!!0 -
Evening, well we have been at the hospital all afternoon, waiting for Biggest to have her epidural, and then the allotted time for it to be monitored etc. She is now home, and hopefully resting.
I am really hungry as I hadn't eaten lunch, and decided that I could cope without buying any food at the hospital and save my money. Although I have popped into the supermarket to buy some bread, potatoes and some cold meats as its back to work tomorrow, and I want to take my lunch rather then buy it.
I keep meaning to organise one of those food flasks but I haven't yet.
DS had DGD for me, and they were playing with her racing track for a while before a game on the Xbox. They are currently playing minecraft together. She is obsessed with the game at the moment!.
Will be glad that she goes to school tomorrow, and I get back to the swing of work. Not that I particularly feel in the mood for being creative. Its not easy to walk into a room with no windows, and just a few buckets of clothes to dig around and to turn into something else. I need to feel a bit creative to do it. I am just hoping that tomorrow, when I go back that there are a lot of little running repairs needed so that I can do that until I get my mojo back.
I think that I will feel better once I get going. Just not feeling the urge to at the moment.
I do feel better then yesterday thank goodness, but the cough is still there, and the voice is coming and going.
I am expecting an Asda delivery, with the party food for DS's birthday on Friday. Hopefully I will get it in my freezer without having to drive back to Biggests to store it all.
I still need to work out a lot of logistics etc but I hope I can get my head around it soon.
I used some coupons up when I was in Mr T tonight. Don't usually remember to use them. Saved myself £3. Yeah. Must keep them in my purse more often. (and remember to use them).
Time to get on. No contact from Ex. today Which is good. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
