Well, the ones Ive had from apple (Ive got two ipod touches and Im on my second Iphone) have lasted 3 months tops.

One I bought from argos that cost me 7 pounds also lasted 6 weeks.

The last one I bought I bought from poundworld, they sell lots of iphone accessories.

And my biggest bargain has been a mini ipod docking station from the gadget shop, sold through WHsmith that cost me £3.99 down from £30 and it was advertised on here.

If the chargers I got from apple had lasted, Id have never needed to replace them in the first place.

Ive never had any issue with any charger Ive bought on play or ebay or poundworld, apart from it going kaput within a few months, which is exactly what the ones that I got with the original items did as well.

Anyway, it was just a suggestion, the OP can make her own mind up.

Sorry Purpleshoes; was not being personally critical of you. :o
Did you catch F@ke Br!tain's programme about cheap chargers?

Tbh, I refuse to buy App!e products because of their working practises, but DS has an iph0ne; it's on it's third original charger in a six month period (will pass on Duchy's advice to him; return 'em to the App!e store!).

..Not that that will help Mooloo of course.
Maybe Twin2 could call at the B&B / hotel in person to ask for it (better chance of getting Mooloo's own charger back - point out her Mum [STRIKE]will[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]could be[/STRIKE] might become a regular[ish] visitor to their establishment ;))?

O bought an excellent replacement iPhone 5 charger from wilkinsons for £4 2 weeks ago. Charges just as quickly and surely safe as its wilkies?

Thanks everyone, I've been lent a cable and using my kindles charger tonight. The lodge are posting it back to me, and I offered to pay the postage, but she told me not to worry. Which I thought was lovely. They were lovely there, the place was clean, comfortable, and service was excellent.
Yes I will be going back when I want to see Twin2, which I will fit in somehow in the summer holidays, but I will need to work out my budget accordingly.
I'm still tired. Have been sewing today at home, swapped my day at the recycle centre, so I go there tomorrow.
This evening one of my regular customers for alterations brought me another 12 items to alter. She will keep me busy this week anyway.
Took DS and his GF too the supermarket to do their shopping, they need a few other bits and bobs, so I have raided my excess bedding, towels etc, and lending them ( probably giving really ) the slow cooker and the halogen oven, as the oven there keeps tripping the electric. As I have the thermal bag system I don't need the electric slow cooker.
So I'll drop those all off tomorrow as I go to work.

    technology is driving me mad.
Haven't used the laptop in ages due to the web etc on my iPhone. Of course not having the charger I fired up the laptop. Suddenly I cannot get into my email accounts, outlook keeps asking me for my password on all my gadgets, and dispite all my passwords being written down in a file, non of them old or new are working, and trying to get the password changed is impossible without them emailing me, which I can't access as they won't let me sign in!!!! Argh is all I can say.
And since when did outlook have anything to do with my hotmail??? I have no idea. I hadn't realised I had a Microsoft outlook account linked to my email accounts, all I'm doing is getting more and more frustrated, as my passwords were always stored on my gadgets, cos I forget them in the first place.
Mutter mutter mutter, going away to scream at the universe!
I just want a simple life please.
Sick of stress and complications, I just want simple, stress free living it's not that much to ask is it? Well in the Mooloos world it must be.

    Rant over

Hotmail and outlook are now the same which is really annoying. I have the same problem with passwords and it is so frustrating as even when I reset it, it doesn't recognise the new password. 😕

    That's trouble I'm having today!
I reset yesterday and it's still not letting me in - and without access to my email I can't get the new code!!!

I lost my hotmail account due to the same problems earlier in the year . The only way to reset is them to phone you but my attempts fail as they never phone during the time range they say they will, then send a snotty email to my icloud account several hours too late to say I didn't pick up the phone!

    Frustrated.
Had a scary day, as Twin2 went missing yesterday, had her landlady on the phone this morning, and again about 30 minutes ago. Was already to call the police. I have just a few minutes ago managed to message her via Facebook messanger and she has replied.
So least I now know she is alive, and apparantly is in her way home now. So landlady rung back, and I can hopefully relax now.
I have a headache, and came for a relaxing bath, and then got the latest call etc to deal with. Then DGD wanted the loo! No peace for me then, and headache still in residence sitting alongside stress and strain somewhere! :)

Morning, having my cuppa in bed. Dispite changing passwords etc, my emails won't accept my passwords via my mobile phone at least anyway I really am fed up of Passwords. Think I need to change it again. But thinking of a memorable one is getting more and more difficult and my book has loads of alterations to them now!
It's Babysit DGD2 today, so breakfast club for dGD1, and early pick up this afternoon. No work gets done during the day then, and rarely any at night as I get too tired.
Such is life. DS appears to be besting well with GF, but she seems another high maintenance one.
They are lost without TV or Internet! Haha.
And no I'm not putting it in again for them.

I'd think about a system for passwords.

Mine generally includes the name or initals of the company, my initials and something from my date of birth. My system also involves letter substitution.
