Mooloo, I haven't posted on your threads before but am a regular reader. I hope all goes well with your trip to Cornwall :)

I was so cross to hear that you got to work the other day to find they had taken your mannequin away! Did it not occur to them that you needed it for your re-making? GGGGRRRR! They don't seem to give you any consideration at all, and you deserve better!

I am considering taking the leap from contracting out to them and doing for myself, may be a bit more irratic on the wages front, but it will mean I have to focus on my stuff, and commit to sorting my website out, and other things. Just nervous of all the changes, so thought I'd hold out till I see if they actually make sales at the new shop. But really think I may actually be holding myself back!

Sounds like you need a to-do list, why not do one and STICK to it, otherwise there's a danger of having a nibble at umpteen things and not seeing any of them through.
It's just another version of a Business Plan, which needs to be in place and regularly reviewed to make a success of your self employment and achieve some of your goals.

Not so easy to do anything with DGD today, but I did manage to empty, clean, move and refill the paddling pool.
Made some Playdough, and started my lists. Sorted out some storecupboard stuff to help DS & Gf for first weekend, in flat.
Which lead me to looking at and planning my Menu for the rest of the month.
DGD2 is in and out like a yoyo, so can't seem to get much else but loading washing and hanging it out.
Would like to watch tennis, Murray is loosing at the moment. But can't stay still long enough to watch it.
Paper and pen lists are the way to go at the moment.

well as paper and pen was portable enough, then I have started doing some important Lists etc.
With great advice from Memorygirl's website, I have a quick reference packing list organised for days out etc, ready for the summer, as DGD and I will be here and not spending the summer in Oxford.
I did a menu plan to take me through to the holiday in Tunisia, and the week after I return, and a small shopping list, to get the meat etc required for the freezer, I only have 1/3 put mince left. No other meats at all!
I took a long hard look at the budget, which although wasn't beyond my income, it was spiralling up again, so a reduced budget, with a higher aim for savings. If I want a workshop, for teaching, I am either going to need to rent space or build one in my huge garden after all.
I used some old Shirley Goode cook books to spark my menu plan, and reduced food budget, and made homemade beef burgers, and a meatloaf last night. We had the burgers last night, and meatloaf is for today.
I didn't do my ironing though(:(!) I was so tired, I just about managed to stay up to watch the clothes programme on Channel4 "this old thing".
I spend my time revamping things after all, so it's right up my street. But I came to bed just after.
I've been awake about 45 mins or so now.
Having a cup of tea, checking my emails, bank balances etc, and catching up on here of course. Then it's off to slow start, getting ready for school and work. I already know that they have taken my last rail, and the ironing board as well now, as the boss rang me. I will be ironing on a pad on the desk then! Until they get me a replacement. So I think I will play with the scarf scraps, and possibly the embroidery machine today, as appliqu! is iron based!
    Time to shake a leg!

:( I think I would be pointing out to the boss that I can't do the work they are paying me for because my equipment has been taken away!

I am on a go slow! I'm sitting infront of the embroidery machine, putting things on what ever denim I can get my hands on, and working on other things on my mobile, while it does the hard work so too speak.
Thinking about my times etc at home, and the things that I need to focus on when I get home!

    Tough Day.
Hurt my back this morning twisted awkwardly when I was washing up. So been a painful day, all I need before I go to Cornwall tomorrow.
This evening I did a shop at Aldi on my way home, and we've just had tea.
ExBF, has asked to meet to go out for a drink, but I have declined, so he has hopefully got the message, that I am serious.
I don't like upsetting him, but not much I can do about that, as we all know he would be nice, persuasive, and I would sway too easily, so it's a resounding NO.

This bit resonated with me, I hope you look back regularly when your mood is low and remember this line.

He gave me life, he gave me freedom. That was the quote at the beginning of the year. This time I am trying to take my freedom. It's been quite a tough evening and I am hoping that I will get a good nights sleep, but I fear the conversations (texts) tonight have just saddened me, I felt cruel, and that's not who I am. Yet I also know I have to live my life and try for my goals ( dreams), so that there is no regrets.

Txt's ? So he still doesn't think you're worth the trouble of having a conversation with on the telephone.
