Good for dad:beer: That's what normal men do for their womenfolk if they're able to. Just run the blokes you meet past us and we'll give you an unbiased unemotional opinion
Your mum's right too, pity she didn't give you a verbal slap years ago to bring you to your senses.
Are you in the AA or RAC? If not it would be worth joining now as countless cars stuck in west country traffic jams boil over, and make sure you have plenty of water in the car for yourself.
Hope you can track twin2 down when you get there......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Yes I have her address. She gave it to me last night.
Yes I am in the AA.
Having been married to a mechanic for 13 years it's something that is just not worth skimping on.
I am going to the hairdressers today. Haven't been since about Sept or October. But think it's time to get on with things. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Tell her to stay put until you get to hers! And remember she's managed without you subbing her for a while so keep your purse shut..................

Please don't take this as too harsh Mooloo, but please honour your parents' generosity by not falling back in with your ex.
I am so happy for you that you have people like your parents who treat you like the treasure you are. I hope things work out with your work x0 -
I am not planning to go back. It's been a very hard decision, and at the beginning I felt a bit nervous and worried about making the right decision, but just after I'd met him to talk, I'd felt more saddened, but resolved that I had compromised life for long enough, and the fact that he was not able to compromise more than saying he would adapt the shed, made my resolve to go it alone a lot easier.
I have my MSE friends, my Mums at the school, and my family. So I will be fine.
I don't want to give up my sewing, I want to increase it.
I think 10 years was enough to give him of my life without any forward movement.
I will eventually stop hurting, I hope. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
'I will eventually stop hurting, I hope.'
You will, and there's a very good chance you'll meet a lovely man.Snootchie Bootchies!0 -
Adapt the shed? Sorry, that made me laugh out loud. He couldn't even be bothered to push the boat out for you and buy a properly built and insulated garden office thingy..................

No, and my mention of changing his kitchen sink was taken with a bit of horror- at first. It is a dark brown plasticy type from the 1970s! And it's an eye sore to say the least!
Never mind, I have what I need here.
If I want to build another shed, I will just build one here!
Although saving for a garden office/studio was more what I had in mind. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
