What did we do? Behaved like mature responsible adults and didn't waste time faffing about with electronic toys..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
As a single parent, I find MSE and Facebook allow me to be in touch with many of my friends all at once. I can share happy events and not feel alone. I wouldn't have liked to have been a single mother 15 years ago when none of this existed.0

I doubt I would have coped as well without being on line, here on MSE, is where I have met many friends over the years, virtually and in reality.
Today I was at work, got in a little earlier, as I needed to go to get my glasses fixed at the end of the shift.
It was a productive sewing day, but I was not thrilled around 11 when I accidentally trod in dog poo! Bl00dy thing had pooped on the mat in the loo.
I was not impressed, and did complain. I felt like turning around and walking out, but then thought I better not shoot myself in the foot.
I am not ready to leave quite yet.
Time now to go and collect DGD from after school club.
It's now when I start to feel very tired. When the plans too do work in the evening falls by the wayside. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Eureka!
Twin2 got a job and a room in a guest house for the summer. Feel so happy for her, all those positive vibes must have done the job! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I am over the moon.
Actually feeling quite proud of her. I hope she has found something she can do. X
And at least for the summer I won't have to worry that she hasn't got a roof over her head. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Taking DS and his GF to look at a flat this morning, I am hoping they are successful, and then I can hopefully relax about my lot for a while at least.
I am trying for as much good vibes as I can muster.
DG has just come in saying she doesn't feel very well. Bit sore throaty.
So is trying to get out of school. I will have a good look at her throat, but there are a lot off from her class with Tonsilitus so I better get her checked.
Just what we didn't need.
My plans may be all changed once again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

:j :j :j Oh that is wonderful news, Mooloo!
You had a very productive upcycling day - quite agree, your items should be sold with a 'made by Mooloo' tag. Hope the recycling centre boss goes for the idea.
Good luck with DS' and GF's flat-viewing today. <fingers crossed>
ps. Will DGD gargle with salt solution?0
