I've told her to go and find Social Services, but what can they do?
I don't know, but they won't do anything unless she contacts them. She's a bit like a drunk who has to hit rocket bottom before a way back up can be found.

Exactly what I didn't want to happen

Mooloo - this is where you DO NOTHING She has to reach rock bottom before she gets the help that she needs. If you go raring down to Cornwall to rescue her, you will be back to square one. Keep back, let's see how she can handle it. It's hard, I know, but the only way you can help is to stay back. xx

exactly why I wanted to get on an aeroplane and get away! Out of reach so that I can't be tempted to go running. But I suppose that that is a bit extreme.

You must be feeling so frustrated! Such a shame. Just as everyone seemed to be settled, it seems like the balls are up in the air again. I hope that Twin2 manages to make contact with agencies down there.

I was thinking about the holidays. How about coming to the seaside for a few days? There are some amazing hotel deals here in Lytham St Annes, most of which include a cooked breakfast, which saves on having a full lunch. I just wish I had the room to put you both up. Failing that, North Wales is lovely too.

Mooloo, please don't spend the Bank Holiday driving down to Cornwall.

DGD needs to spend some time with you and I am sure you have mentioned to her the prospect of having days out, please don't disappoint her like her Mother does.

Minimoneysaver how kind of you. Yes I think Mooloo should get away, preferably without her 'phone:) and then there would be no chance of being involved this side of the holiday.

I doubt I will go running down over the bank holiday, because I will have BF contributing to my back bone! So to speak.
Anyway we have to get what we can salvage out of the house, this weekend and return the keys ASAP so twin2 doesn't get landed with a huge huge bill.
I will try for some days out and use our national trust membership.
I'm not at work now till a week on Monday, but I have plenty of work to do at home.
But will do what I can to entertain DGD.

I find it most odd that when the Twins get themselves boyfriends one of the first things to be discussed is getting their children back. I am not sure if this is because the Twins see it as unfair that they have lost their children and can't fully explain why the children were removed or whether the boyfriends are trying to be all nice to them as it is a new relationship.

We all no like the likelihood is so very very slim but I know it must upset you.

The chances of SS taking DGD to live with her mum are very slim.

It's very normal with new partners who hear one side of the story and don't understand the risks and legal orders etc -

For DGD to be returned to her mother she would first have to get leave from the court to be able to apply for reunification and her application for leave would have to be pretty detailed and comprehensive explaining and evidencing what has changed in her life since the SGO order was made to Mooloo that would make her the better parent and in the child's best interest. In the 9 or so years these orders have been in operation I have heard of only 1 getting leave to apply and the circumstances were unique. SGO orders are permanency decisions for children and I look on them as nearly as binding as adopting a child - but within the family.
No court is going to return this child to her mother -- if they do then I'll buy a hat and eat it!!
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

I can't let them take her. It's an over my dead body option! Even if I had to loose the Mum. In my eyes it's non negotiable. How many times she cancelled having DGD? She stopped coming here well over a year ago.
Time to get my act together.
Twin2 has messaged to say she was safe last night, I hope the family that took her in will help her access what she needs. I am unable to do much.

Good to see T2 was helped last night. let's hope it continues because to be blunt there is nothing you can do to help her. You haven't been able to help her to acheive a stable and safe situation for some years now.
