 with the freezer - never a good time for an appliance to give up the ghost.

Sounds like a great find for your OH - love it when you come across a gift that fits the bill perfectly. :)
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18
  • Did I mention that the gift for oh was found when looking a pressie for my niece and since I bought both items I got a discount? Yay

I really need to get myself into gear today. Am seriously overcommitted and back logged to the point where I'm not taking my day off this week. Just need a bit of focus and hopefully things will flow.

  • Had a day working in dublin yesterday that went well. Am in the office today and am gonna dnd my phone. Looks like we will be flat out until Christmas but it keeps the pennies coming in. Anyhow, gotta go and find out how to switch the invisibility cloak off for my car. We had at least three near misses due to muppets not seeing us and it's a big well lit up car.
Today I am grateful for only local driving til the end of the week!

  • If ever there was a TGIF day, this is it. Gonna get to work, get lots done then come home and ignore what's outstanding until Monday. Dd has once again brought the boyfriend home. This time she very kindly pinned a note to my door advising that he promises not to look if I make a naked dash to the bathroom! Sometimes, I could strangle her. Today will not be a NSD as I'm gonna nip to the weekly market and have a nosey at what's there. Oh, as for the freezer, courtesy of martin's newsletter a heavily discounted new hotpoint is on its way.

  • Didn't get a NSD and didn't get to the market. Instead I purchased a packet of truly wonderful tayto cheese and onion crisps and a buttered bap. A truly amazing lunch even if not overly nutritious. Absolutely shattered and now heading to bed. Tonight I am grateful for feeling cosy.

  • Today is gonna be a day of reckoning. It's when I MUST assemble all present purchases that have been delivered over the past week and list who gets what. It requires an empty bed, oh to lift said bed so I can get out the stuff stashed in underbed storage and no interruptions from anyone. Then we're off out tonight to see a comedy show. Yay. Also need some groceries etc but am not sure when I will do that. Need to check a voucher expiry date

  • Caught up at last. You seem lovely and organised for Christmas. I however am not at all. I hope your show was fab tonight xx

  • Today I did the stuff I couldn't be bothered to do yesterday. Also called to my mum's and got one unwanted item of clothing out of the house. Last night was good. Nice meal, service not great and a really good show from mark Thomas who came out to chat with the crowd afterwards. A nice man. So the stocktake of the Christmas stuff shows I have spent far too much on my two(some was purchased in Canada in June and hidden away) about right on OH and now need to match up what I have with others I buy for. I did the grocery shop and used 2 vouchers which, along with last week's meant a £23 op to the mortgage. I did the transfer and updated my sig. Inching closer to the 10% mark though OH did say not to worry as it's not a race. There speaks someone who has been in a final salary pension scheme since he was 20! Anyhow, today I am grateful for
    An invitation
Bumping into a friend I hadn't seen in ages
    Escaping unscathed from my mother.

This time next month I will be finishing work for nearly 2 weeks.
