  • So, didn't make it to free movie last night. OH's sore ear got progressively worse to the point where he agreed to go to the doc. Instead we had a veg night in front of the soaps. This evening I'm hoping to go to the gym. Dd reckons I need to use it at least 5 times in the month to get payback and one week has already gone. Would also like to transfer some money and update sig. Here's to a good day for everyone!

Well done about going to the gym. Very impressed. Hope you sleep well x

 Hope you weren't too far behind schedule this morning! I had trouble getting up this morning, thinking it's time DS took responsibility for his daily 7.30am departure so I can sleep in until office time at 9 :rotfl:

Glad you've had news on the job and don't have to make a decision whether to take it or not....yet! :)

  • Yesterday was a bit of a nightmare. Due to the weather, what should have been a 20 min journey took nearly two hours. One bit of great news is that my niece safely delivered her first baby, both are doing well. Today I finished work early and finally did the money transfer due from the last week. Thank you tcb! Also updated my sig, so close to the 10% but not quite there yet. DD received an anticipated cheque today which she will in part use to repay money that she owes to me. I'll be sending some of that to the mortgage and the mini target will be met. Next year's will be to get it under £100k whatever happens to the interest rates. I'd have loved to do it this year but not at a cost to enjoying life. Today I am grateful for

  • Hi stripes, good to see the little elephant here. They and pandas are my favourite large animals. I think dogs though have a slight edge. Well, yesterday I cashed in the second sainsbugs voucher so that is to go to the mortgage this evening. Unfortunately as dd was with me, I went £20 over my limit. Still, we have enough to see us through this week apart from possibly a bag or two of lettuce leaves. Went to a comedy gig last night, oh enjoyed it more than I. I think the humour had gone stale with variations on what was said 10 years ago. On the plus side, we went for dinner first and used a £10 off voucher from f&b and due to delays, we were comped our desserts. I also parked in my work carpark space which was free and closer to the venue than any other space so, given the tickets had been bought in advance, a relatively cheap alternative to slumping on the sofa or finally tackling the work I'd brought home. So, things to do, need to get to work. Today I am grateful for
Inadvertently stumbling across a cheap gift for OH for Christmas that he will love. Will order that tonight

  • Bit of a mixed day for me. Some stuff finally off my desk but it should have been more. Having said that, the working day is over and I've a pooch curled up beside me which is always good. I fear that my freezer is truly on its last legs but I'm afraid to open the door just in case. I was hoping to avoid the expense until after Christmas but it's not looking likely. Today I am grateful for
    A considerate delivery man
    Nice colleagues
Being able to help a friend.
