You are making great progress on that mortgage. How are you feeling on the job front? What you are doing right now seems very full on, no wonder you get tired!

  • The next month will be manic in work but it pays the bills. It does have its pluses sometimes. At least most work booked in for December is local.

  • Went to dublin to do tender presentation on wed. As we were leaving, my potential new boss was going in to do his pitch. Got details of my interview through to find the recruitment person had given me the wrong presentation title. Have spent today feeling increasingly flulike and doing no interview prep at all. Will need to be at the airport at half five wed morning with presentation to last for the first 35mins of a 2 hour interview. Went to the boots shopping evening on Thursday to pick up bits and pieces for Christmas and lots of bonus points. Now have enough to get a big empty angel bottle refilled. I may hold off on doing that until miserable January. Not much to report on MSE side other than I got the anticipated expenses through so that can go to keep the credit card free of interest. Apart from that, things are a bit all over the show. I really need to reinject some discipline into my life. Have not had a major derailment but am truly wobbling about on the tracks in many different areas. Today I am grateful for having been able to help two friends.

  • Well, I still feel fluish, my tummy is in free fall and I am in full blown panic mode and still need to make it to Wednesday. I've the presentation pulled together. OH has formatted but I'm not happy with how it looks but don't think I can tell him as he spent nearly as long tarting it up as I did putting it together. Have done nothing else all day bar worry about dd who once again failed to advise of her whereabouts until after four this afternoon though she had been here at some point last night and walked her dog. She is now well and truly in the kennel, which is more than can be said for the spoilt pooch. Anyhow, tomorrow's mortgage payment should reflect more than 10% paid since 01 January. Can't wait to see that but wish I knew how to work out my mortgage free date!

  • Hi

You're doing brilliantly. When is the interview? WHy don't you phone whoever your mortgage provider is and they should be able to give you an idea of when you are on track to pay it off? They did with me without asking and it was a lovely surprise.

    Hi INOD :)

I know what you mean about presentations and interviews but.........we always prepare too much and its either going to happen or its not. When you get in the flow you probably wouldn't need anything prepared for you anyway. I am sure you know what I mean......we do need some props to fall back on just in case but if its going well the format may not be too important?? :)

I always 'over prepare' but with all of the things I have on ppt or paper, the best has always been where I don't even need to call on the prepared stuff! Like a jazz musician........improvising :)

  • I took my last presentation along on paper as well as on a USB stick and laptop - just in case.

It will go fine INOD, you have prepared well. :D:T

  • Thanks folks for the encouragement. I always bring paper copies with me as I'm afraid of compatability issues when presentations are loaded onto other people's kit. The final bit of prep is an emergency dash to the hairdresser this evening as, oh, bless him, happened to ask if I was getting something done with my roots! Today I am grateful for having a hairdresser who does late nights tues and Thursday instead of the standard Friday. Slight panic as prospective employer booked flights in right name but wrong gender. I went back to agency re this but have heard nothing further. How bad if I turn up but can't get flight! While I'm still nervous, I'm trying to see this as an opportunity to catch up with London based son at someone else's expense. Anyhow, am gonna fire up the incredibly slow desk top, pay the credit card, check the mortgage then head to work. Hope things are going well for all of you.
