You are doing brilliantly INOD, the financials are pretty amazing and whilst you think it should make you happy, reality is health is closer to home than money and a combination of not getting the blood test you wanted and the weight thing might be tipping you in that down day direction.
So, direct yourself upwards on exercise and diet is my prescription for you
I've cycled 5 miles each day on the exercise bike even in this heat, taking just 15 mins per day and still walked the doggies too. Even with my dodgy eyes, head, neck, shoulder!
So go get a couple of cans out of the cupboards and do some deep breathing, arm swinging, twisting and shouting for 10 mins. You'll feel great! And drink plenty of water.

Don't be too worried satchmo. While waiting lists for somethings are astronomical, my sister, with a non urgent condition, got a dermatology appt within 2-3 weeks. Sometimes it's down to the individual clinics. Thanks for the support you two, it galvanised me into some heavy cleaning that needed done. While tidying the kitchen, I was thinking about the once a quarter payment idea. Prob is that with my company car, I'm on 40% tax which decimates the interest I'd get. I'm also tied to a current account with my current bank to maintain my 0.66% mortgage rate, free travel insurance etc. the isa I've opened allows a once a year penalty free withdrawal so I think ill squirrel away my £100 per month and possibly transfer it over just before year end. Today I am grateful for

Morning INOD, glad to hear you are finding your mojo again.
Love the heavy cleaning idea but it was so hot here yesterday I couldn't face it. Hoping to get around to that when it gets cooler.

I was going to swing my hoof in the direction of your butt-butt, but I then read that you were tidying the kitchen and, quite honestly, it is you who should be booting me up the rear as I am being such a lazy a$$ at the moment
The kitchen is actually clean and tidy (miracles will never cease) but the same can't be said for the rest of my home
Just go with the flow of down days. I don't try to force myself out of them as I know I will be through it within a couple of days. Do nice things and be nice to yourself.

Hey INOD,
Sorry for the 'late' response, and that you've been feeling down. I agree that health is so important, and when things aren't quite right, it can be easy for the positives to be overwhelmed (especially when you're so busy!)
I hope you managed to get a good rest and that things are on the up. I don't think you need a kick up the @rse; have a hug instead and I'll keep the kick in reserve (or use it on myself, should that be humanly possible....)
Take care - you're doing GREAT xDebt remaining:

Succumbed to an impulse purchase this evening when walking past the Jaeger shop! There was a gorgeous shift dress and jacket reduced to £29 and £39 from £250 each. DH liked them so much he bought them for me. DH had seen them a month ago at £79 each and wanted to buy them then, so even more MSE :-)
We've had a very spendy day, as we had to transfer the funds for our apartment purchase. Hurray. That led to a celebratory meal at a lovely Italian restaurant. Only £39 for 2 courses for me and 3 for DH, plus coffee, a glass of wine and 2 beers. Not so great on the calories, so I think I need to go for an early morning run tomorrow.
I hope you're feeling better today? What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0
