I'm so pleased for you INOD. You so deserve some good news and this is brilliant. I know I don't know you really but feel extremely happy on your behalf regardless lol. Onwards and 'downwards' then :) sorry for short reply but I'm on my phone as house sitting! X

Excellent news and weight lifted in more ways than one :D :T

What a fabulous bonus to the mortgage OPs too. Hope you're beginning to feel it snowballing or speeding up a bit too - am noticing it even though I'm not quite at 5% yet and will likely get to 7% in December.

We all need a little push, shove or helping hand in some area of life at some point and it's great that amongst us all, our pooled strengths are a resource to be proud of and keep us going. :)

A fine end to your week and here's to a good new one too

Wrote a long post congratulating you on weight lifted and then lost it, grr.

Anyway, congratulations on the weight lifting in so many areas, and yes you're allowed a momentary gloat ;0)

Yay to the sweetener reduction leading to lbs reduction. I'd suggest shaking the one spoon so that it's smaller and smaller each time. Has OH lost any lbs? Men's metabolism allows them to lose more quickly at first, which seems so unfair.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • That post fair cheered me up. I love seeing folks I talk to on here doing well and having good things happen. The support on this site is awesome and pushes us all along. Well done on all counts xx and wahey aint karma a b i t c h :rotfl:

  • Today OH treated me to "the look". All I did was mention that if we totally cleared out all money pots, we could probably get the mortgage to break the £100k barrier. Still not sure what I did wrong ;)

It seems like a good idea to me too. My DH is obsessed with his savings but I think its because he had a tough time when he was a single parent.

INOD that post has REALLY cheered me up. You had been sounding really quite down between the various issues. Now the worrisome holiday is behind you (and sounded mainly fun ;) ), the Ex is properly in the past where he belongs, the health is going in the right direction, and the work is back under control. :j:j. And wow to the mortgage overpayments.

As someone else said, onwards and downwards :p. Goodbye excess £ and lbs.
