Another saddo on the mortgage figures front then :rotfl:
You're storming ahead...I'll have to think of a cunning plan to close up the gapMostly made up of once the debt is paid off, splitting surplus between saving and extra OPs.
I'm on a fixed deal until end of 2017, so I've got a target figure of £90k to reach by then. I think 7% used to be the average interest rate, but that was doable on my first house at £37k. It is scary on a 6 figure one though, I agree! Even more incentive to knock the numbers down quicker.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Total saddo me where the mortgage is concerned. If you're depressed about the size of your mortgage versus the original. My first one was £38k and was for the same house I still live in. That's the price of marital breakdown, spending and a house built in 1916 that needs constant attention. Today, by virtue of my friend funding our lunch, I had another NSD. Unfortunately, I also had dessert but no other naughtiness. Got our usual handyman round this evening. I'd thought I needed a new bath due to broken taps and inconvenient flooring. He reckons that the current one can be salvaged so some money to be saved there. He's also gonna give a price for work needed at the side of the house so fingers crossed that'll come in on budget. Thanks everyone for popping in. I really appreciate it.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Well, an odd sort of day. Friend picked up US purchases and paid for those. Question is to I use this to op the mortgage and gamble that there are enough funds to pay next month's credit card or do I lodge it to my account? Issue with ex that arose mid march lifted its ugly head today. The third party suggested that if I spoke to him directly, it may expedite matters. At least I got a laugh at that! Got various bits and bobs done around the house along with a tiny bit of client work. So, today I'm grateful for
