did the meeting this morning and felt so tired on drive back there was little point in going to the office. happily, my boss agreed. so after nap time, I faced the dreaded credit card versus current account. looks like the truly big bill will be next month but based on what was in the current account, I managed to do the mortgage overpayment that meets my quarterly target:j:j:j
i've updated my sig and now have the 5% mark in my sights. i'll hit this with next month's payment but it'd be so good if I could do it every 6 months going forward.
I also bagged up some loose change and there's £8.00 to be banked and a further £7 to go towards one of next month's bills. This will start the next quarter's overpayments. also, I have some money coming to me from purchases made for others while away which will help.
seeing how the small bits and pieces add up, I can't help feeling like a total muppet that I left it so long to get started. still, it's hopefully in hand now.
on an MSE note, I filled up with diesel while over the border so saved in excess of 10p a litre. plus, as I didn't go to the office, I had lunch at home courtesy of OH's skill at bacon sandwich makingMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. An understanding boss can make or break a job. Sadly I took my eye off the ball when accepting the last job - never again. new job has understanding boss, so am very grateful for that.

Whoop whoop whoop. Just got onto the wii for my Sunday morning weigh in and can report that I'm down a pound. As my focus over the holiday was keeping the sweet things in check rather than cutting back or exercising more, this must be good news for my sugar levels.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Fantastic! One pound per week is a realistic target, which gives a much greater chance of being maintained than any starvation-induced loss.
