Withdrawal from sugar can leave you feeling tired. You are doing SO well, keep it up. "Baby steps".What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

so, an update of sorts. just been one of those frantic weeks. still cutting way back on the sugary junk however crisps are creeping in a bit. i know they have sugar but work on the lesser of two evils basis. just transferred £24.13 from current account to mortgage being a £12 saving, the saving on my payment through changing the date and a tilly tidy. I've updated my sig for this and to take account of the monthly payment. Hitting my quarter end target for June will be stretching but, the bulk of my holiday spend will be on the July credit card so fingers crossed. The corporate event on thurs was bingo belles for the Prince's Trust. a 3 course meal was served along with fruit cocktails for the drivers. i stuck with half of the dessert and about a third of the juice. I entered 2 raffles each requiring a £20 contribution and won a £20 voucher for my favourite local foodshop plus £140 worth of Elizabeth Arden products. sadly no 8 hr cream but that leaves it safer from ds and dd. have just been for the haircut and root tint as directed by my mother (she doesn't want to be shamed by me) and got a free file and polish which is always nice. This weekend is going to be spent working out what we need to take and clearing up some work. fun and games but it should keep me out of trouble.
Thanks again to everyone for the interest shown and advice given.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Well done on the prizes. That was a nice wee treat for you.
2 of my friends are diabetic and they describe the tiredness as knuckles dragging along the ground type of thing. They feel better once they get on an even keel. So keep on keeping on INOD and you will feel better soon xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42

By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
I wondered if the sugar withdrawal was contributing to tiredness. It's a powerful "drug" for sure. Talking of, are you on metformin or anything?
Sounds like the holiday is hanging over you a bit. Not surprising given what you've previously said. But there might be fun bits too I hope, and the weather should be nice! Sneak off to T. Island for lots of lovely walks
Chin up. The healthy stuff will get easier as the money stuff did.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Hi Mfm, thanks for dropping in. I'm currently on max dosage of metformin combined with gliclizide and saxagliptin. Line has been drawn in the sand though and I'm now, with the support of people here, tackling it head on. For me, it's been a bit like debt for others on here. For me, diabetes is further validation of me messing things up so apart from OH and one friend, no one knows about it. I suppose it started as denial and then just turned into too big an admission for me to make.
Anyhow, enough of all that. I had the laziest of days today. Still have shed loads to do but spent the afternoon curled up on the sofa. Aim for tonight is to write a to do list for tomorrow. Today I am grateful for

It's nice to have a lazy day - hope you enjoyed it.
Your Elizabeth Arden win must have been a lovely surprise after the week you have had. Please don't think you have "messed" things up. You're only human and you have a very busy, stressful lifestyle. We all have our little addictions that get us through difficult days. Mine is food - and I like everything! I've never smoked and though I like a drink in social situations, I've never been one to walk through the door at the end of a busy day and pour myself a drink or drink on my own - it's more likely to be a bar of chocolate or something fatty and savoury! Your last few posts have made me wonder about my own health choices so thank you for that and I'm there with you on your journey as are quite a few other posters. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Kind of a bitsy day with odds and ends getting done. Stopped off in tesco to get foreign exchange that had £5 off for club card holders. Also picked up 9 tapas dishes all whoopsied to 63 p each and are currently being enjoyed by dd and friend. OH has already eaten his. And now for the good news. Did the almost weekly weigh in on mr wii and I'm down a pound. This can only have come from the reduced sugar so yay! Am still feeling jittery though so am gonna have an early night as I've lots to get through the next two days before heading off.
Hope things are good for you all.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
