  • skinty, you do know always to wash your hands after touching chilli plants and to keep them out of the reach of wee ones?

anyhow, just updated my finances (see revised sig) and update the goals for 2014 thread. have dropped some goals that just aren't either practicable or measurable and have reined some others. should mean less drivel for those on that thread to read. transferred £5 saved by using M&S voucher, £7.21 monthly reduction in mortgage due to change of date and a TT of £5.69. also, boobed by transferring by mistake to my credit card so forwarded that to mortgage account and it treated it as a cash advance and charged me £2.00. As my DD would say, Raging!

OH has agreed that his payout is either to go to savings to payoff the mortgage or to go off the mortgage. YAY! we now need to sit down and work out what!

anyhow, a request for a lift to a rugby game has just been recieved. best to get going.

Hi inod - that's great to hear that hubby came on board at last - now you'll just have to persuade him to drive that lovely car of yours!

You sound like you had a very productive time at the salon and it's good that the massage has worked on your knee. All fighting fit to meet the out-laws now!

Still waiting to hear about Basil Fawlty and your weekend away! :)

That's good news re: hubby INOD. Also encouraging to hear of you re-visiting goals and being realistic. Bet you're feeling good about that!
Thanks for gardening advice! Will be very careful when I eventually get the chilli plant - hadn't even thought about how to handle it.
Made a deal with self - got a pot of basil on the worktop. If its still alive next week then I'm shopping for a chilli plant!

  • So yesterday was a majorly spendy day. OH birthday approaches and he sensibly but boringly decided he'd like clothes in advance on next month's holiday. As the jaeger outlet was doing 20% off, cue a trip to there. So, he got what was needed and I got a top that was half price at £75 with 20% off. I then visited the m&s outlet and got some lightweight jeans and a blouse for less than £30. I then had to scoot to my physio appt leaving him at the shopping centre (he continues to refuse the drive option) which was never going to end well. Still, we did get some whoopsied bread. Had a spectacularly bad night last night and am now worrying how to get thru the week when I already feel like carp. Still, need to get a wiggle on.

  • Hope you feel better soon hon, nothing like feeling carp when you've a busy week ahead. :) x

  • Good night's sleep last night that makes all the difference. Really do need it to as I have 2 new client meetings, 1 awkward client meeting and what should be a straightforward one. Also, will have a catchup with the former in laws so need to get a wiggle on and make an effort with the appearance! Used a 50p voucher on cereal on Monday so will need to op that off the mortgage.

  • I love the attention to detail, OP the 0.50p saved on the cereal! Good luck with the outlaws.
