  • Am in a bit of an unsettled place right now. OH and I are sorted, will post at some point but work is being problematic. Some days I just want an easy ride. Then I read some diaries here and realise that's what I'm having. Today I am grateful for

    That's really made me smile.

I hope you don't mind me popping over - I see you on various diaries and wanted to say hello.

  • INOD - understand the 'unsettled' feeling. Can you take a quiet min today to see or feel whats going on? Maybe just a feeling leftover from this last week or something specific in work?

Maybe nothing at all! Mid week blues perhaps. Check in later, let us know how you're doing xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I know what you mean. Although I'm not debt free, let's just say I don't lose sleep over it. I feel so humbled by the diaries people write, where they are being hounded by creditors or really no idea where the money for the food shop will come from. It does make me realise how incredibly lucky I am. But that said, once in a while it's ok to feel sorry for yourself. It also sounds like you work extremely hard, and sometimes the pressure gets overwhelming. So allow yourself a wallow, but just a short one. :) I love that you managed to find the non-ironing as your highlight though. The words of Monty Python spring to mind!

  • Hi all, had typed a post last night, took a call, came back and the gremlins had eaten it. Nothing too tasty in it so hope they choked! Pippi feel free to drop in anytime along with whoever else is lurking. Yesterday I got a letter from the bank re my mortgage. They have changed the payment date but have also reduced the payment by about £8 a month. I'm convinced they don't want their money back. Well, I still haven't tackled the outstanding job since start of the week. It must happen today. Also today I find out if I picked up a quick and dirty assignment. It'd be a good one to get so fingers crossed. So yesterday was supposed to be my day off but I had to work so today I will finish for a long weekend. I've various things diaried but my must do is some op transfers from voucher use, signature update and any relevant TTs. All I now need to do is get out of bed ;). Today I am lacking in gratitude as the clothing planned is not good for wet and miserable. As a consequence, ironing must happen.

mfmaybe, I would love to get to the python shows, just can't see it happening

Damn that ironing :p. Yes the weather is mizz isn't it? I had my own little sulky tantrum about it, but forecast looks dry again for the next 5 days so I'm [STRIKE]pretending to be[/STRIKE] over it.

I hope you hear good news on the assignment, sounds interesting.

My internet crashes in and out all the time. It is soooooooo frustrating. When I go to post a reply I highlight it all and click "copy" first. That way when it crashes (which it enevitably does the majority of times. Sometimes I get logged out of MSE because I have spent so long reading :o) I just get back on and paste the reply back in! It really takes the frustration away.
