Today it is wild, wet and windy. I don't want to leave the house never mind for a work day that won't end until after eight this evening. Just gotta get on with it as I also have an item to return to the shops by today.

Item returned yesterday. £24 back on my credit card. Am heading in to do a half day on my non working day as I agreed to deliver training for a client. This afternoon I will visit the hospital with my sis. Broke the sad news to dd last night. Amid the tears she said but people I know aren't dying! Sobering concept for her to deal with.

Thanks beanie. Got through the hospital visit and then called into my mum's. That wasn't good. In the meantime I got an email from sis in canada asking what was going on so I called her late last night when she got in from work and told her the news re sick sis. Not good but at least now she can make informed decisions.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Yesterday I got word of my pay increase. Needless to say, I was beyond p'ssed off. I only landed the biggest contract the firm has ever had in the past year while growing the client base and for that I got an increase of less than £500 a year. I emailed the two senior partners and advised them that I considered that to be an insult. No reply from either of them as yet which is kind of funny as I won another contract today!
I have decided that if there is so little value in my time, I'm not committing any more than I am paid for. So, today I left at lunchtime given that I had to work Wednesday morning. I dropped dd to the airport for a weekend with DS, went to the truly amazing butcher and bought some stuff for the freezer who gave me 94p off my bill. Went to t3sco and used a £6 off a £40 spend voucher so an overpayment is due to the mortgage. So we are well stocked for the weekend whatever the weather throws at us. Today I am grateful for
Recognising that I have a worth better than other people recognise
Being snug and warm
Having access to good quality food
A great team to work with.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Progress not perfection.:T100%through my 1% mortgage challenge. 100% through my pb challenge.0 -

INOD, sorry I haven't been around for a while. More sorry than I can say about your sister. I don't have the best relationship with either of my sisters and although I love them fiercely I find it exhausting managing my relationship with them without my Mum, I always need her there to remind me that I can't hurt their feelings..........I obviously i have no clue re your sister and you. I remember when my father was ill and my best friend's husband stood me in the corridor and told me to say exactly what I wanted to say no matter who was there. And I did and I am glad I did. I still thank him for it every time I speak to him. So that is my only experience to offer. You remind me so much of my real life friend - I am seeing her tomorrow night funny enough and will hug her extra hard on your behalf. She will think I have lost the plot and hate it
Sending you love
