Had a catastrophe today when I pulled the underwear drawer too far out and it landed on the floor. That drawer was my pride and joy! It's back in and restocked but it was absurd how upset I felt.
Have arranged an early finish tomorrow, presents and card sorted and will call into my mum's after work. I would have been beside myself over the undie drawer as well, INOD!a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. Spent all day yesterday interviewing for a director of finance post that will pay more than I earn! Saw some highly competent people with little to no interview skills. Still, I got an earlyish for me finish. Got to pick up a prescription, grab mum's present, go to pharmacy, drop bags to charity shop and then go to mum's house. Spent some time with her and then dropped sis and mum off to meet other sis with whom they were dining. Picked OH up from work and we escaped home.
Today I did a few hours in work and then the grocery run. Got my £12 off for a £60 spend and got an extra 500 nectar points by stocking up on cleaning / tissue products. We then spent the afternoon dithering and then booking a 3 day weekend in Vienna at the start of December as OH had a buy one night, get one night free hotel voucher for a 5 star hotel to be used by end of December plus there is one direct return flight from belfast to Vienna that corresponded with the flight dates. The plan is hotel sacher to eat a slice of sacher torte, a trip to the zoo to see the pandas and the rest of the time to pockle around the Christmas markets. I'm more excited about this than I am about our big holiday in October.
Think I'm gonna continue today in slothful idleness and make inroads into stuff tomorrow. Today I am grateful for

Well Sunday was a bit of a disaster. One where my gratitude was mainly for soft toilet paper. Not sure what I happened but I fell foul of a tummy bug. Yesterday got Monday out of the way and I had a dr appt where my jogging is totally not an option until after surgery though walking may be ok unless it hurts. So frustrating. On the plus side, looks like the surgery will be in the next three months or so, fingers crossed on that. Finally heard from dd who continues to enjoy her summer job as much as its location. Anyhow, time to get motoring. Financials to update this evening and some transfers to do. Also, quarterly interest will have hit.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
