Maybe I should explain a bit. Not only does my mum look like the granny from tweetie pie, she appears to consider us on a par with how granny considers Sylvester. If there's anything wrong, she's the best in the world but the rest of the time is what the word cantankerous was invented for.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I think it will be the afternoon tea option and fingers crossed she brings her cronies. Anyhow, two large bags going to recycling centre on my way into work though there was very little else done all weekend. Did the transfer to the mortgage and updated my sig. Skyped overseas sis and spoke to my son. Dd is off radar but this is normal as internet is intermittent in the New Jersey woods where she is based. Anyhows, here's to a good week. As always, thanks for the support.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I'd love to beanie but her choice of venue doesn't do deals! I did speak to my sis and we have agreed to make it a joint gift as she was clueless too. Day 2 of another six day week. Still the sooner I start, the sooner i will make some inroads. Tasks for today include invoicing and claiming expenses. Got one report out the door yesterday so that's a real positive. Hopefully another will go today but this is dependent upon the abilities of the staff member I had a one to one with yesterday. He is on his final warning. I feel really bad as his partner is pregnant but the way everyone has to double check his work means he drains other resources while adding no value. Last week he sellotaped stuff together in the wrong order. Not exactly rocket science. Two of us are meeting a former colleague for lunch today which will be cheap, cheerful and scrummy. Still, better get going before I talk myself out of it and then things become a struggle.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Was on a site visit yesterday and called into a friend for lunch. She's retired now and just happened to have some freshly boiled ham ready for sandwiches. Totally lush. Work wise, the to do list keeps growing but I got three invoices out the door. Today's tasks include picking up toffee for my mum, the voucher and going to a highly boring board meeting. On the plus side, I may actually get away before six. On MSE news, finally did my expense claim so end of July will bring in some money to be oped to the mortgage. On the kondo side, I've identified 2 items that could go. Just need to have the discussion with oh hoarder in training. Wish me luck.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Good luck with your hoarding husband! Mine is very hit and miss. Sometimes he refuses to part with anything and then out of the blue he'll agree with me and it stops me in my tracks. :rotfl:
My sister is the biggest hoarder of any of us. When I mentioned my Kondoing she just couldn't understand why anyone would ever want to get rid of anything if they can physically squeeze it into the house!Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%
