Classic!
Ahh, keep forgetting the stores you don't have there. Can buy Nicky online (Am@zon), there's been a Groupon deal in the past too.
Just seen FF are doing 2 packs for £7 so I feel a trip to ours coming up, when going past there of courseBack on the DFW Wagon:

Omg, nearly a week has disappeared since I last posted here. We are currently enjoying a double bank holiday (mon& tues) which meant that the end of last week was totally overloaded work wise. I was supposed to have Friday off but it didn't happen until two o'clock and at three there was a majorish crisis that had me working from home til half five. For once, oh firmly put his foot down and declared I wasn't to let it spoil the weekend. So, while it bubbles on, after kicking it up the line, I've let it go. We flew to London fri night and spent Saturday with DS celebrating his 30th birthday. I think a good day was had by all and he appreciated his presents. Yesterday was spent pootling around being stalked by that damn kondo woman and consequently purchasing little but enjoying having the time to browse. I did catch some sun on my face on Saturday which provided a delightful contrast to the dark circles under my eyes!
With regard to MSEing, I cashed in a £12 voucher on Friday, haggled for two separate £2s off but wasn't brave enough to grab the 1p on the floor of the packed tube carriage. I also escaped a £27 outlay due to this bank holiday. I need to get logged in and update my sig.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Wow on the £20k! That's utterly fantastic!! :T :T :T Well done!
I don't think even I would have been brave enough for that 1p. :rotfl:a penny picker upper. So, more fire fighting at work yesterday. I need more staff but am holding off on recruitment as my biggest tender decision isn't due until Friday and I'm afraid to recruit and then have unutilised people who we end up getting rid of.
Yesterday was treat day as I used my boots points to refill a large perfume bottle. Lady was lovely and gave me a free gift too so lots of gratitude there. Also stumbled across the two dine in offer in ms and managed to bag a massive chook which will keep oh in lunches as well as providing us with a roast dinner.
Potential new opportunity arrived in my in box yesterday so fingers crossed on that. It'd be a high profile job for a former client I still get on really well with. I'd love to be back working with them
Still haven't logged onto my online banking. Really need to get to that this evening. Also, dry cleaning run needs done today and charity shop stuff sent in over the weekend as I'm in the depths of rural Ireland mon to wed next week.
Hope everyone's happily heading towards the weekend.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. another week gone and still no tender decision. am increasingly nervous. did all my on line banking transfers, TTs, etc and have updated my sig. no sainsburys vouchers left though so am not sure where the savings will come from.
OH posted off the ebay purchase last week but the buyer stated that someone else in the building signed for it but has lost it. we don't want to give a refund but the way feedback works we may have no choice. not happy as that money has already gone to the mortgage.
on other matters, I won a £5 voucher from the gfk tv survey this week and that brings my total from them to £27. i also cashed in my early bird bonus nectar points when redeeming the sainsbugs voucher so that little pot is steadily climbing to be cashed in November - december. Did get to the chazza last weekend so more stuff leaving the house but even more to go. i wish i could wave a magic wand and have it all disappear. still, next target is some old videos - we do still have a player combined with the dvd so i shall spend a wet day sorting out a freezer drawer and seeing if there's anything worth keeping. if not, my napkins are going into their current storage for chicken and ribs in fron of the telly nights.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. If the parcel was signed for you shouldn't have to refund it - same happened to me (but I was the purchaser) and eBay didn't let me have a refund (alas, lol).

Realised today how much things have slipped. Really need to get back to noting my savings and making my ops. One bill will be reduced by £66 next month so that needs to go to the mortgage. Also, picked up an item for my mum yesterday that she insisted on paying for so £1.50 needs to go tomorrow. On other news, more stuff departed today for dump and chazza and my hot press is now completely kondoed. I also have emptied two underbed storage boxes which is always good news. We gave in today and turned on the heating. It was so cold, wet and generally miserable. Am starting to see some headway so, all in all, not a bad weekend.
Today I am grateful for
Good news from my sis

Well done on the continued clearing out. With you on the cold and wet day - socks and jumper back on here and thought about putting the heating on I must admit.
Hope all ok reading the emergency services response too.
You're shaving a good £1k a month off the mortgage - something I can only aspire to at the moment. Great going :TBack on the DFW Wagon:
