Lol. I read Buffies post first and then Greyings - got confused about Greyings pom poms a jiggling :rotfl: Then I realised Buffy was being naughty :naughty: and Greying really was talking about Pom poms (I think :rotfl:).

Oh INOD you never seem to do things by halves, you just get on and do it. Amazing woman, but poor mum - you are all scaring me now as the mother of a soon to be 16 year who loves babies

Hate the mean black dog, let's send it to dog boot camp. Never again will I let work take over. Friends keep us going through the dark times.

  • Well, it's been a bit of a spendy weekend. We've ordered a new dishwasher. We considered repair of the old but were advised it was unlikely given that it was 24 years old. On the plus side, there were funds available and the cash back earned will go to the mortgage. We also threw caution to the wind and booked a weekend in London to coincide with DS 30th birthday as it's both the bank holiday weekend here and he won't be coming home until the following weekend. Got the flights courtesy of av1os points and a reasonable hotel deal that OH will earn hotel points on.
Sometimes you need to prioritise living.
On plus side, kondoing of bed clothes continues. It truly does take a while. The curtains are however all sorted. Also we had a completely take away / dine out free weekend and used up somethings that were about to go off. Apart from that little was done and a relaxing weekend was had. Yay.

  • Monday was a so so start to the week. One big meeting done with two scheduled for today and one in dublin Wednesday and then another there on Thursday. Highlight was a dental payment reimbursement so that will be £60 to the mortgage when it clears. Today I have a half ten meeting with a former boss. The one who caused me to leave my last employment. I'm dreading it. It will be him and a sycophant. I just hope I can stay professional. Yesterday evening, we got the shredding up to date and into the brown bin for collection today. Love knowing that stuff is leaving the house permanently. Anyhow, gotta get a wiggle on. Here's to a good Tuesday.

Catching up and sorry I wasn't here cheering you on with the rest of the gang :o. I love your saying it as it is, realism and you make me challenge my own thinking many a time - all of which are very valuable and appreciated attributes - making a positive difference to my own journey. So thank you :T:T

Hope your meeting went well today and the sunshine and warmth adds an extra cheery spring in your step (subject to your knee ;))
