INOD, sorry to hear about jog club as you seemed to be enjoying it. Can you find an Aquarobics class, as that's good exercise but doesn't put stress on joints. Or do aqua jogging on your own (not as much fun as it's not a sociable activity)
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    Morning INOD.
Sorry about the medical advice ref jogging. I've been told time and time again that walking will do me just as much good as jogging when I have expressed my wish to jog and been told it is far too bad for me. So maybe you could just do some energetic walks?

Hope the extension wasn't too important. I chopped through a lawnmower cable the very first time I mowed the lawn when my dad was out of the house once. He wouldn't let me do it as he thought I would do just that! So I shot over to my best friends house and her dad swapped me one of their 3 lawnmower cables (back in the day when everyone had orange fly-me mowers ;)) and I learned up the bits, gave the messy cable to friends dad and mine was none the wise until I came clean a full 15 years later :rotfl: xx

I could do with following your lead on this one. :) How come the weeds grow so much faster than anything I plant?

  • If dd wasn't heading off for three months on Thursday, she would be next in line for kondoing. Another leaving party last night caused my sleep to be disturbed. Grrrrrr. Also, spoke to DS yesterday who advised that he's back running and intends to do the dun which dash in four weeks. Why can't I have normal children. Yesterday was not a good day. I did a 5 hour round trip for a 19 minute meeting that added no value whatsoever. Could have cried. And, despite not working Wednesdays, I have to go in for an hour tomorrow. Anyhow, rant over. Only local working today and what should be a fairly uneventful meeting this morning.

By "all at once" she means within 6 months, so not as bad as it sounds.

  • Hello, after a truly manic week, I'm back. Apart from the usual work mania, we had the dog to despatch for three months on Wednesday, dd to despatch for three months on Thursday, another client needing an investigation done in a hurry and a variety of other bits and bobs. Also, had a meltdown in the office on Tuesday and have moved one person onto my forever !!!! list. The dishwasher has died while barfing out copious amounts of water and someone I thought of as a friend has continued to put me in an awkward position. Did a shop making use of a £12 voucher, got £1.06 road kill and beyond that don't have a clue how things stand money wise. Today starts the kondoing in earnest as for the next 3 months, bar visits from DS, it will be just the two of us here so we will actually have uninterrupted space in which to get things sorted. Today the laundry kicks off in earnest as dd had commandeered the washing machine for packing purposes. Hope everyone is having a good weekend and that the weather holds up for line drying.
