  • I slept like the dead last night and feel so much better for it. Am out on site today with two staff but am hoping to get through my part pretty quickly and get back to the office. I need to put some diesel in the car. This is annoying as I'm used to filling up in the south where thanks to the exchange rate, I get it for £1 a litre. Am still not used to the capacity of this car's tank. Am gonna have to cancel dinner with the two ladies this evening. I'd forgotten about jog club which only has 4 weeks to run.

Anyhow, gotta get a wiggle on. Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start.

    Congratulations on getting below £100k!

A great bargain with the coat too and it will hopefully last for many years.

    Hello there!!

That coat sounds a complete bargain and will last forever. The classics, especially good quality ones, never go out of fashion, nor do they show age!

I've lost countless posts today, weather playing havoc with the interweb!

Tell DD about my neighbour downstairs.... was rushed to hospital a couple of weeks ago and we just found out she died 10 days ago. Her landlord came to have a look at the flat... and could barely get through the door. You can't get into the bathroom, or the kitchen. She has stuff piled ceiling high. Not just *stuff* but rubbish too. Can barely move in there. Hazmat suits required to go in & it needs decontaminating! I won't go into the more gross end of the scale of devastation in there, but it isn't nice!

It tightened my resolve to throw more stuff away, thats for sure!!!!

Hope you continue to sleep well :) xx

Super looking sig - how different it becomes to view seeing it go from 3 to 2 figures. Delighted for you and what a whopping amount gone to date - truly well done, I'll keep bringing up the rear :D

This losing posts - is it the timed out message and 'resubmit info' etc when you refresh? I've been getting that this week - first time ever, even though permanently logged in :)
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18

Something has changed this week. I know we had this blue and white page before we've logged in (which I don't like :o !!) but it tells me I have timed out when I post too.

Don't lose posts though......if you are timed out use the last page button (left aiming arrow) and you will go back to your message. If I think I am going to lose one of my very moving and great works of literature I then copy and paste it off the page onto a word document and start again knowing if it goes t*ts up that I still have that beautiful piece of work. :)

We really mustn't let great art be lost :rotfl:!!

(second attempt the numpties have timed me out again  )

  • TGIF. Can't wait for today to be over. It's grey and miserable here with wet pavements but we did have BBQed sausages for dinner last night. DD also kondoed some branches that were cut from overgrown trees in the garden. These went into the fire pit. Had a very near miss last night when dd accidentally snipped an extension lead that was plugged in. So glad she had picked the shears up by the rubber coated handles as there was quite a significant bang. On other news, have had to stop jog club on medical advice and am fed up about it. Don't know if I'm more annoyed with me for being defective or with the nhs. Hopefully, there may be some type of resolution today. Met my friends Tuesday evening and had a really nice night out with lovely food at a total cost of £20 inc tip. I drove and we managed free on street parking. Right, gonna get myself into gear and when I next check in here, it will be the weekend. Yay.
