It's lovely to get a few good nights sleeps isn't it? I hope you can keep it up.

I'm loving the grateful for lists. I think it's something many of us could benefit from. It's so easy to slip into a negative mindset.

  • Kind of a lazy day as there was just me, OH and the daft dog here all day. Got some really good pointers from my friend with more on the way. Alarm bell wasn't pushed by my boss so the tender must be okish. He knows I can't go to the office tomorrow but could have gone in today. Some paperwork shredded plus some small items en route to the charity shop.

Also had a bit of a breakthrough today and identified what I will reward myself with if I get the new job. Despite handbags and appearances to the contrary, I feel guilty buying treats for me though am happy to do so for others. I think it's a working mother guilt thing. I have decided though what I will buy if I get this job. Maybe that's only possible cos I see it as a long shot. Today I am grateful for

  • Tender now en route to dublin to be submitted by 12 today. Have given myself a week off starting tomorrow. Tomorrow will be spent on interview prep and Thursday on cleaning. OH announced yesterday that he can't get Thursday off. I'm not happy. They are his parents after all. They are already annoying me. We sorted out flights, weekend hotel for their concert, tickets, we will be doing the 100 mile each way drive and yet they were on the phone asking what they should do about getting to gatwick. They are intelligent competent people. Why can't they do anything for themselves.

OH appeared to have enjoyed his birthday on Sunday which was good. On other matters, I still can't find my money notebook with logins etc. am not happy.

I don't want to go to work but needs must. Hope things are going well for everyone.

Good luck with the interview prep.

It sounds like you have had to do a lot of planning for the in laws. I do think that even very capable people are more than happy to dump organisation on others. It's very irritating.

Enjoy the week off. Try and have some you time.
