Hi verbatim, thanks for the suggestions but dd nailed that one at Christmas with something of a nerdy comic type thing. OH is very into manga, Star Wars and the associated Lego and other kinda nerdy things which are quite specialised and therefore difficult to buy as surprises.
Progress today. Under the stairs sorted. A home found for dog related things, some candles and still at least one empty drawer. Hand wash stuff washed, dried and one item ironed. Clothes sorted for the working week. A few items kondoed. Dining room sorted and some things rearranged in the bedroom making the space more useable. Lots of kimono sorted and a hall cabinet, living room coffee table and dining room sideboard cleared. Also other bits and pieces tidied including cables behind the tv.
Today I am grateful for a quite nice house that responds well to attention.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Phew?
Would it have been late?
Glad you are over the initial shock Mrs. You'll be laughing in no time.
Mum watched the C word where most of her lady friends on her chatroom couldn't because they are all in that same predicament and don't want to watch an unhappy ending. I personally couldn't but maybe in the future when it isn't a bit close to home... once again!
Hugs!

I probably had another day's grace on the payment but don't like cutting things too fine. I woke early this morning with a big ball of tension in my tummy and sore jaws possibly from having clenched them. My biggest client's re tender is due in dublin next tues, my interview is next Thursday and OH's parents arrive on Friday. Plus I have a staff shortage looming imminently. Not sure what is bothering me most but something clearly is. Only thing for it is to make a list and start working through things systematically. Just wish the tummy churning would stop.
Anyhow, bin collection today and some bits and pieces leaving for good which is always a positive. I get now why kondoing takes a full six months.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Sorry you're feeling so churny INOD. I was the same last night but have chilled out a little now. Do need to get some paperwork in order tonight though!!!!
Feel better soon. You're going to ace that interview, then staff shortages and tenders won't matterAs for OH's parents... I feel your pain!!!! xx

OH's parents are very nice, kind people. I just don't have much in common with them. I also know that when they envisioned the ideal partner for their first born, it wasn't me. I also get stressed about if the house is clean enough, nice enough, if food is ok, etc etc. it doesn't help that they are both Indian and yet where we are isn't very multi cultural. For some weird reason, people didn't emigrate to NI.
So went to jog club this evening. Have noticed a small improvement which is great. Dread to think what my stress levels would be if I hadn't done it as I'm still all churned up. Confessed to a friend that I was thinking of pulling out of the interview. Got such a talking to, it was scary. Did the sainsbugs shop and used my last £12 off voucher. Also got an extra 550 nectar points.
Another few bits and pieces kondoed. Today I was actually wondering about which pieces of furniture I can get rid off when there's less of a need for storage.
Today I am grateful for

Sorry to hear you're still churning, but you're right the running helps.
No matter what your OHs parents envisaged for their darling son, he got the glittering prize when he got you, so there xWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
You're more than capable, be it hosting, interview, managing work.
Break that churning into bite-size one off chunks and deal with one at a time, parking the others so they're not all invading your thoughts at the same time
Well done going to Jog Club and feeling an improvement :T

Have just managed two good nights' sleep in a row and feel so much better for it. I've decided to not log onto anything after earlyish evening and I think that helped. I've got my tender to a good place with things on track to complete. I've had the delivery of my new car confirmed for Monday. I still haven't found my banking log ins so that must happen this weekend as there's money to go off the mortgage.
Today I'm meeting a friend who does career coaching and who will gee me up and do some suggested questions that should get the grey matter ticking over. Also need to see where I've hidden all of OH's birthday bits and pieces inc the Star Wars tee shirt purchased pre Christmas that hasn't been seen since. I'm expecting to kondo some items while doing this.
Today I am grateful for
Feeling more settled
