  • Just watched the c word, an amazing programme. Both humbling and inspiring while being a wake up call for the need to make days count. Life's to short to settle for anything but the optimum. For me, the dithering and the procrastinating has to stop. I have the makings of a truly great life but need to stop the self sabotage and the dithering. Today I am grateful for
    The health that I have
The ability to improve my health
    My family and friends
A home that could give me all I like
    A job that I don't absolutely hate

This wake up call that I hope I can react positively to

Watched it too, brought back some sad memories of losing a dear friend and colleague to it aged 29 with a very similar story and also thoughts of lovely ladies from here KissJenn and Taxi.

It's made me more grateful for fresh air - the ability to live and breathe and the exercise and happiness walking the dogs bring. Keeping it simple just feels empowering right now :)

  • So today is the start of getting a$$ into gear. First off is to tackle some hand wash only items that I conscientiously ignore. While they soak, fire up the oven and make some scones while laughing at the daft dog sitting watching them through the glass. Did a monster shop yesterday but didn't get any bread. I went to makro and emerged £111 poorer but lots of needed staples were purchased. Toilet roll, bottles of water that I go through when driving, etc.

We deliberately didn't put some items away as under the stairs storage is being tackled and hopefully some areas can be redefined. I've already emptied one drawer by samosaing bags into another. OH has been tidying our alleged study which is more his man cave and has tidied away (despite not touching it) my money notebook which has my log in bits and pieces to online banking. That really needs to be found today. Also today, need to pay the credit card and figure out what to get him for his birthday on Sunday. I've bought hits and pieces including tix to Michael Palin but I feel he deserves more. Suggestions welcome.

Gosh INOD - that does sound like a shock. Glad you're getting over it now tho :)

Really sounds like you're doing great, and you're reminding me that I also intended this Bank Holiday to be productive. Must get up, lol
