Anyhow, today I am grateful for
A great game of rugby with few injuries
Being able to pass things on that mean more to the people receiving them
The comedy in a dog's snoring
Thank you for popping in to visit my diary the other day - I have now found you
how true is that statement - I have so much clothing its got silly I have a 7ft wardrobe that is FULL and a floor drobe in the corner too
I have started with the kondo habit - not finished the book but started - I did my panties drawer and will do socks bras and tights tomorrow
will chuck it all on the bed (including the two bags of odd socks) then I have to sort be before bed time
I love the things you are greatful for - especially the last it made me listen to my dogs and three were snoring and it did make me smile - funny the things that really cheer you when you dont feel as sunny as you could
have a great week

Nooooo. How come the day I'm leaving the car in which means early start plus public transport, I waken to SNOW! It's march. Plus the downside of a good rugby game was experienced courtesy of dd and a friend at three this morning. Let's just hope their hangovers are as annoying as my disturbed sleep. Anyhow, gotta go, clear a car. Am wondering if I can get away with trousers and sturdy boots today although I do have a client meeting at two and it is quite an important one.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Hi INOD
I spent all weekend doing my room, spare room and cloak room using the Kondo method. I am shattered but pleased to have it done. I am so embarrassed by the amount of stuff that will be going on ebay or donated. I probably don't have any work clothes left0 -
So far today I have resisted the use of a 20% off voucher to buy a pair of red ankle boots. I still haven't kondoed my shoes. I've also ignored my work suits. The problem is that I buy for function rather than love. To get suits and dresses I'd really like I'd need to be about 5 sizes smaller. Anyhow, my car is still in the bodyshop but will hopefully be ready tomorrow evening. It's so cold right now. I wanna hibernate so I think an early night may be in order. Hope no one is being adversely affected by the weather.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. My car was finally ready for collection yesterday which was my allegedly non working day. Spent the morning working on a tender from home then got the car. Thanks to my mr wonderful car man, it was more than £100 less than anticipated. So, where a wise person would make a mortgage op, I treated me and OH to dinner. It was a place I've been wanting to try for quite a while as people rave about it. I can understand why. The food was great. The only criticism was that there was so much of it. Hopefully it goes to a pig farmer. Apart from that, used a few money off vouchers in a top up shop so I owe the mortgage £2.10. Need to log on and get some money sorted. Also, a few days without the car made me realise the benefit of my free city centre parking. OH and I generally travel together with a diesel cost of approx 75p each way. Using public transport, our costs went up to £3.50 each way. Anyhow, better get going.

Whoop whoop. Don't we all love Fridays. Got a shed load of stuff to get through but am now coasting towards the weekend. Must remember to pay credit card pre work. Got sad news that a colleague of OH died yesterday. Unexpected and he was 55 with three children two are still in their teens. Makes you wonder if we are right to be future financial planning or should be more live in the moment. Either way, the kondo approach and a simpler life definitely makes sense not just for how I live but also for what I leave for others to deal with.
Hope things are going well for everyone. Today I am grateful for

Very sobering news indeed.
I now tend to subscribe more to the live for the now but without being too silly if that makes sense?

I keep hearing of these people dying so young INOD and especially at the moment it really is worrying, with mum being unwell. I think we all just have to strike a balance and do what makes us happy. me personally, I am like a pig in muck when I am saving, whereas my sister is never happier than when she is booking the trip of a lifetime and splashing out thousands. Each to their own; we all have a path.
And.. I want a dog. xx

Sorry to hear the sad news
I'm in the strike a balance, but certain past events have propelled me into living for the moment with DS - in 2013 we did alot of 'experiences' and memory making - some costly (Hawaii), some not so, but the realisation we might not always have our health (the perfect example I am :rotfl:) or be here until we expect, does make us question and I think that's a good stop and re-evaluate point. Then I've knuckled down to the financials and next comes the balance again.
Must look into this Kondo-ing, sounds more than just tidying upBack on the DFW Wagon:
