Am really enjoying reading all the updates and bargain purchases too. I'd love to get a capsule wardrobe working well, so shall have a look on Pininterest (thank you Doolallydilly and belated happy birthdays too).

Advancing age for me ;) so classic all the way now, with the odd fashionable twist thrown in. :D

    Final report for April:
    Jan - No spend
Feb - £12 - 2 tops half price for me
    Mar - No spend
Apr - £12.45 - school trousers for DS

    Total to date £24.45/£120.

I've still got £10 birthday money towards sandals put by - far too cold to get my tootsies out yet though :D

Can't foresee any needs in May as yet, wardrobe is producing some colourful items for spring and summer, so am happy with my lot. :)

    Well done everyone. :)

Morning all. No spends to report but I am down to just one pair of jeans now. I have this morning got out my summer wardrobe stuff and am now wearing a pair of linen trousers instead. I think the weather is just about warm enough!
Spend less now, work less later.

Well done to all no spenders, I've updated the front page now.

KT and Happytails don't get too downhearted, it takes time to keep clothes spending on track, believe me I know from my own experience.

What will May bring for us then? No spends so far for me which is good, although I could do with a couple of holiday items. Will hang on for a little whole longer while I try and find some clothes shopping money!

Best of luck everyone, stay strong out there. Do you want it or do you need it? Can you afford it? Only you know so be true to yourself and see what decision you make.

    Hi Everyone,
Went to Bluewater with a £50.00 voucher that I had - need a new pair of trouser shoes and a pair of summer shoes but didn't see any thing that I liked. (At the price that I want to pay). Not sure whether to wait for the sales.
    Bought 3 pairs of tights - £12.00 - needed not a want.

This is right up my alley - I am extreme shopaholic. In fact I already blew my budget by spending £172 on shoes in January sales. The good news is that I bought four pairs of Italian leather shoes and combined with last years sale purchase I am stocked for the next century. I honestly can't imagine what more I could need.
To reinforce this I pledge to limit my further purchases to £88 and not to buy anything that wasn't pre loved ( hello charity shops). I believe this leaves me with a very modest budget of just over £10 a month.

Well done on that, monsoon dresses are lovely aren't they but soooo expensive at full price. I have a lovely prom style one I got at 50% a few years ago from their fusion range. Our work do was after Xmas that year so I'd scouted it out and was straight in come sale day :D

Just wanted to say that I have spent ZERO on clothes for past 15 days. I know that is a drop in the ocean to those that manage months (you guys are my inspiration!).

No spend largely achieved by the fact I have managed not to stray into charity shops! Never really got clothes in CS until starting this challenge and I am astonished what people donate. Picked up some great buys including white stuff, fat face, joules, warehouse, ben de lisi at principles, john rocha, river island and top shop. Since realising that such good quality stuff can be puchased at a fraction of the price it has REALLY helped me reign in "new retail" spending. If I buy new a lot of thought goes into do I "need" it rather than just want it!

Anyhow, have a good weekend everyone :)
