Some shoes bought for work out of my expenses pay. Good job too as they were £65 in lovely soft leather.

Don't count as a spend thankfully as I used expenses!

Just this week to go before we moved into the 6th month of the challenge, how quick time flies by?

Finally checking in... April was a no spend month for me but I have splurged a bit this month buying various basic tops and jumpers. So this month I have spent £217.87. Sounds rather a lot but I shouldn't need to spend anything else now this year. Off to update my total in my signature.

Well as previously reported May was a spendy month for me. I went shopping last night and bought a shirt and shoes for DH which doesn't count for this challenge. Still it was really good to go shopping.

I have won a £100 M&S gift card so guess what I will be buying?! And it won't count as having come out of this challenge. Yes, I know I am a cheat....

    Morning all

No spends since I last checked in - even though I have browsed shops and CS, I haven't needed to buy anything.

I was at the theatre last night and was going on to a footy club presentation after so wore the dress I bought a couple of years back for my DD1 graduation - its a summer 50's style dress, sleeveless, with abstract big bold red poppies on a white background with smudges of black and gray - its was a last minute "omg what do i wear?" kinda moment and am so glad I did .

Had some really lovely compliments from complete strangers, took me aback really.:o

And the best thing was it was from M&t&l&n and I think cost about £20ish
    - have worn it now for 2 weddings, parties, graduations, theatre and presentation do's - funny how one dress can just fit all sorts of events:)

And its not even totally black!

Catch you all later keep up the good work

£31 spend for May, which was my birthday month.
I succumbed to a long tunic-style top for summer at Bon Marche for £11. Originally £22, it was reduced to £16 online, and I used a £5 birthday voucher from Bon Marche to bring it down to £11.

Along with the holiday top of £9, came a new nightdress and cycling jacket from Aldi, £6 and £5 (reduced from £20) respectively.

Aldi clothes are always good quality, though can be on the small side sometimes.
That's it for the summer, hopefully, and thanks to gift vouchers I have two good coats.

#59 mothernerd declaring another no spend month.
Did look at sale clothes in Tessimos but they had nothing remotely my size - loads of 8s and a few 10s.

Also saw an absolutely basic black stretch jersey dress - perfect for funerals, my most frequent social outing (just getting to that age I suppose). Real old-fashioned jersey too (holds you in, rather than the modern display and cling to every tiny imperfection -okay I have lots of them). A whole rack £4 each. But I didn't have £4 and I haven't had enough spare cash or the mobility to go back - only went through as it was the shortest path between the 2 places I needed to visit to get the essentials on my list (had vouchers to use).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
