I got given £150 (!) of Am@zon vouchers as presents.
Eek. Read on. But first...
On holiday I bought a top for £9, a dark grey 3/4 sleeve knit with unusual narrower pale grey/white patterned 'slimming' panel at front. It fooled my mate, when I held it up, she said 'That is surely too small..!' It wasn't.
With my vouchers (not counted in my spends as they are gifts) I have bought a showerproof Regatta jacket and a long Jack Murphy raincoat, total spend with postage £63.
I re-homed my Drizabone coat with my daughter to make room for the Jack Murphy. The Drizabone probably cost me £20 for every time I wore it. Gorgeous, but too heavy, too long and it caught in my bike chain when cycling. She will use it for walking the dogs.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I was coming on here to confess to buying two t-shirts, but then realised I used birthday money to buy them, so in my rules they don't count!
Keep seeing lots of lovely stuff but I am resisting at the moment. I am taking a heap of stuff to the charity shop this afternoon, I hope I can stay strong!Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Hi all,
no spends and clothes for my holiday are all sorted.
I have made some lovely cropped jeans from some jeans I had that were going baggy a the knees after wearing them for a few hours, really pleased with myself- even though it was dead easy:D
Another lesson learned, I would have charity shopped them before.
Hopefully I'm going to make it through May without spending on clothes.
I've been reading some articles about buying less, but buying more quality. I sort of see it, for 1 or 2 things that you may wear a lot, but my cheap stuff and charity shop items seem to be holding out quite well, nothing has dropped to bits yet :rotfl::cool:0 -
This challenge really keeps me off spending too much money on clothes... I don't come here too often but making a promise is enough for me. Maybe I should join some grocery challenge next month as food is one of my weakest links...
Thank you all for keeping this thread going and good luck!0 -
I might have a spendy day tomorrow as I'm off shopping for some work shoes. Might not have to count them in this challenge ad I'm using my expenses money which is a good result!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
