Come away to my Mum's for a few days. Have resisted all temptations to spend ( so far!)
Still under budget for the month.

My friend gave me a pair of brand new trousers that were too long for her the other week and they are a super fit.
Marvellous, as I got a 'new clothes buzz' without splashing out.
I would like another long tunic to go away for a short holiday soon, with but will take a hard look at what I have to see if I NEED another long tunic.

    Evening all,
Went to a second hand clothes shop that only takes 'quality' clothes eg Hobbs, Laura Ashley, m&s autograph etc but not true designer clother eg very expensive clothes. Took in 2 dresses and a pair of shoes, which they will try and sell for me. Came out with a blue top for work -£12.00
I know that I have exceeded my budget but... A) I can only get down there once every 8 weeks b) it is cheaper being secondhand. C) I hope to be in credit next month.
I am trying to change my way of thinking and buy more secondhand clothes.

Since my last post ive bought £21 worth of tops in Next but had a £20 giftcard so really only £1 :) And £4.99 in M&S on a top. I think thats it however DD1 needs a new pair of shoes for home use and ideally the kids all need a pair of sandals - trawling charity shops and Ebay ATM!

    Hi All,
had a good day today. Went to Fat Face and bought a pair of jeans for me and 2 t-shirts for my hubby's birthday. Came to £75.00 but I had a voucher for £68.00 so only spent £7.00 which will come out of my present budget - So it doesn't count. Fat face have got an offer on at the moment - spend £70 and get a £20.00 voucher so I now have a lovely £20.00 voucher to spend in June : 0 )
(Also went to john Lewis and used my voucher for free joy drink and cake - saved £5.85).
I love setting my self a challenge - can I go shopping and not spend any money or spend as little money as possible - eg using vouchers / special offers

That's always fun, Gem-gem. I like doing it in Mr T's as their prices are extortionate without the offers compared with A!di. Especially if I can walk out saying 'I've saved more than I've spent." Reduced sticker (YS) bargains make that possible.

  • I'm doing so well with clothes at the moment :D not bought anything. Am in need of new undies though so might end up spending towards the end of the month... who knows! quite like the idea of having my second no spend month though.... :A
