Afternoon all. Welcome lovefullshelves.
Would you believe that DD didn't wear her outfit that clashed with mine after all, so I needn't have spent the extra money. However, I did wear the new jacket anyway.
I may be naughty and have a root round the charity shop at some point in the not too distant future!Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Bit of a strange few days, I lent my housemate a skirt for a fancy dress she was going to and she managed to rip it! I didn't mind too much as it was only cheap but she gave me the money to get another one
so I went in, got the replacement and got out
very pleased as I was extremely tempted by a few things
This is obviously not counting in the budget as I didn't pay/ haven't actually gained any clothes

Despite saying I wouldn't buy anything in March I have succumbed to a pair of trainers for £16.99 to replace worn out converse.Crazy clothes challenge 140/1800

Well I had a little spend yesterday on a £26 top/scarf combi reduced to £10 in the 'less than half price' sale in Next. I'm not counting it as part of the challenge as I'd kept £20 of my birthday money back (2 weeks ago), so I've taken it out of that. It was originally meant for sandals and now I'll just have to find some for £10 or under when the time comes
I did see quite a few sale items I liked, but stuck to just the one that will be great for both work and casual. It gets it's first wear on Thursday as we're going out for the evening.
Still not ordered school trousers for DS, but have to very soon and they will be coming out of this budget.
Nearly through another month and a quarter of the year :eek:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Everyone's doing really well so far - well done to those who haven't spent anything at all this year :T
I managed to find some white jeans (I honestly feel like I have tried on every pair of white jeans in the UK in this search) - they were reduced, and £17. Also found a pair of white skinnies in my wardrobefrom last summer, which needed taking up, so I've done that, and now have two pairs, no need to look any more :j
I also bought a dress for £29 for an upcoming christening - I had nothing suitable at all in my wardrobe (honestly!) and this dress will do for any wedding-y type things that might occur, too.
So have now spent £88 of my £300 budget. I do have a feeling that more summer spending might happen - I used to really loathe summer clothes, and had barely anything, but I've suddenly discovered I like summer/summer clothesI'm still trying to buy clothes that go with each other, as that was always my downfall before (well, that and just buying lots of stuff!). I've definitely spent a lot less than this time last year ...
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Hi have not bought anything else this month since my splurge. Before this my splurges would have been more like £200 not £50 and much more frequent
Now I got all that lovely new stuff when the weather was all spring like, now it feels like we are back in winter.
So on with the jumpers again.
I have been looking at some pinterest outfits for some ideas using clothes I already have- that website is dangerous to the likes of us. Gorgeous, lovely clothes. I did get a couple of outfit ideas to copy though:cool:0 -
Almost the end of March and another no-spend month for me. So still nil spend on clothes this year! I am considering buying a new dress though. I have quite a few months left, but I'd like to dress up for my OH for our anniversary this year (August... I think ahead!). We've lived together for a year and a half so I'm thinking I'd really need something new to get the "wow" effect since he's seen all of my very limited wardrobe many many times. Have a few ideas but thinking I may try and sell some of my old clothes to keep it cost neutral... Although I doubt I'd make more than pennies selling the very few things I don't needSave 12k in 2014: n. 104, goal £4k, achieved £4000

Ok, confession time! Ive bought more clothes, mostly all items that will get used to death and all sale items or charity buys (my favourite)
Im upping my £500 a year budget to £700 as i spend more than i thought and would rather not go over the budget 6 months in and give up/possibly splurge on unnecessary clothes LOL
I need to sort out my totals, will update properly when i have xxDFW Total £21,800 to clear by Dec 2022

Oh dear, confession time, went shopping with OH today as we both had the day off, he wanted new jeans. I fell into Hollister and came out with a dress and jumper and about £85 lighter  do like them both but feeling a bit guilty now.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
