I find shoes in General can be hit or miss. I have faith boots that were originally £75 (paid £20 in the sales ) they are leather but taking a while to wear in and not 100% comfy! prob half a size too small. Whereas I have a pair of primark boots that were about £12 and are really comfy. Same with converse trainers, mine rub my little toe when my feet get hot (bigger size is too wide) but ballet shoes from primark really comfy. That said I've had some primark ones that do hurt, and my uggs that are worth every penny I spent in them.
That's true, my only worry is spending a lot of money on shoes only for them to be uncomfortable or fall apart. I was considering getting some Doc martens for next winter as I know several friends who sing their praises about how long they last. Also really fancy some new cute ankle boots and a pair of decent flats. Going to have a really long think about it and shop around before I make any decisions as I want my budget to be spend really wiselyFrugal Student!!!0 -

Yesterday I took delivery of a pair of slipper boots and had to hand over £10 but I am not adding this to my spends for this year. Long story but I originally bought these last year, they were faulty, I got a refund and had to wait for replacement. So in my mind, I spent this money last year.
Excuses, excuses....Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Oh I was thinking about getting some Doc Martins too, they seem really hardy but was unsure about them being comfortable?
Still no spending here this month although almost had a slip earlier. I really do need to unsubscribe to those e-mails advertising clothes shops. The 365 day penny challenge #24: £21.52/£667.95

I had DMs in my teens, really comfy.
Had a freedom Thursday today by accident, wore a stripy jumper with leggings as I didn't feel like jeans. Haven't worn the jumper for ages so nice to give it an outing (and I got a comment about looking slim in it so can't be bad! )Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

My friends who own them say they hurt to wear in but mould to your feet well and are comfortable after that
That reminds me I'm trying to wear in some flats with a very stiff heel back in them, any suggestions how to wear them in without the pain ?Frugal Student!!!0 -
Hi all, will read this with interest - I have a nil budget for clothes at the moment (Stepchange budget - "use current wardrobe")
However, I've been "using current wardrobe" for about 2 years already, and obviously I will need SOME clothes LOL!! So I would like to keep track of what I do actually spend, and this will also encourage me to get best value for money and look as nice as I can!
Does clothes budget include things like tights and undies?? Those are the only things I've bought recently.

Great to read everyone's stories. I am finding it quite easy not to spend money on clothes, I guess I really do have enough! Also, it's much easier for me to go "all the way" with these sorts of things, so I quite enjoy trying not to spend anything at all. Totally unrelatedly, this is why my downfall is groceries/food, because I can't just not eat, but once I start spending I spend a lot more than I need/should...
