Morning all xx
Inspired by our Freedom Friday, I've just rearranged my wardrobe!!
This time of year I live in jeans and leggings so have hung them in the middle. Then I got all my clothes on my bed and asked self honestly: 'what do I always wear?' and 'what do I hardly ever wear?'.
Two piles later, my 'always' wear are now hanging in the left hand side and 'hardly wear' are on the right. I've done the same with the clothes in my drawers so am even including t-shirts, vest tops, undercrackers and sleepwear.
So as an experiment for the rest of the month, I'm taking from the right first! Let's see how we get on and if there are items that I really just don't like then they can happily go into the charity bag.

I spent £16.50 last Thursday evening on a dress and some underwear. Was staying over near work for a night out and forgot my work clothes for the next day. Luckily the next day was casual Friday so picked a dress I knew I'd wear out of work. Ended up washing it and wearing it Sat evening for a meal too so at least its at £7 cost per wear so far haha!Pay off Debts by Christmas 2015 = DEBT FREE!0

Firstly, a couple of weeks ago I went through the little bedroom and washed all the 'spare' bedding and curtains - the damp had got there (pre-DPC) by travelling up through the cavity wall insulation. Some had mould spots, it all smelled well 'damp'. So I washed it put it on the line and have been trying to decide what to do with it.
One item was a single linen sheet already sewn across the middle that had three small cuts in one corner. So I have earmarked it to be made into either A large loose shirt/kaftan type top or a fitted summer top/s - it may do both (I am famous for getting twice as much as I should out of any given piece of fabric.
DS1 is due to move out his stuff at the weekend (2 whole bedrooms + half the kitchen cupboards + the freecycle fridge /freezer in the shed and all the things I have said/he has asked if he can have 'for the time being'.)
He has been editing his wardrobe and I got custody of the pile so I now have plain vneck short sleeve T shirts in peacock blue, turquoise, mid-green, orange and red, a long sleeved ribbed dark maroon Tshirt, a J*sper Conr*n beige Vneck merino wool summer jumper and a chunky Black with beige cuffs (think reverse cricket sweater - like Peter Davidson used to wear as Dr Who) jumper which I have always liked (cuffs are wearing a bit but as its a men's size, will probably be too long so no problem with turning them up.
I also have a brand new 5 pack of men's white sports socks (maybe a bit too big but will be fine as bedsocks/under wellies or over normal socks if it's really cold). DS3 tried to blag these off me but I went back 5 minutes later and said I needed socks more than he did. He has size 13+ feet and I bought him 15 pairs of special ones 2 years ago and had previously bought him half a dozen from high and mighty) So I've discarded 4 single socks 'waiting for their partners' and the 2 odd ones I've been wearing as bedsocks (1 black/one white with pink hearts) can go. I may even part with the 2 pairs of very expensive, very good quality walking socks which look incredibly tatty - I can't stop to tell everyone I meet that they are special socks.
Currently rocking bag lady chic as it's incredibly cold and bits of me still don't want to move at the moment - still going for a daily walk but most days have run out of puff and struggled or limped home (even with painkillers). Only got half way through my exercise class last week - stayed to the end but had to do old-lady sit-down on a chair versions, not looking forward to tonight's session. Been under par for past 3 weeks but not yet convinced myself I am ill enough to go to the doctors.
So for the past two days I have been wearing a long sleeve t-shirt with a full-length skirt, a normal dress on top and a summer cardigan and winter fleece on top with thick socks and walking boots - I know it's not a good look, it's a new low even for me. I did stop myself from putting on gloves to sit reading in bed (thought it would be warmer in bed than staying downstairs) but only just.
Anyway I am happy with my bounty (the pile to go to the charity shop is much bigger than my pile, so don't feel guilty - they are getting the pile of newly read novels when I've worked my way through them - bought on impulse in the middle of the year, then put away for Christmas, at a £1 a time the charity shop will make more than I could selling them on amazon).
And my budget is still on track with £1/100 spent (not counting any cotton needed to alter any items as I already have this.

mothernerd if you're feeling under par for so long, don't put off seeing a doctor. You certainly don't sound like the type of person to go for every sniff and cold and if you're needing to take painkillers for a long period then something sounds a little amiss. But, don't beat yourself up about the exercise class, you're still making the effort to go, and recognise when you need to take things a little easier on yourself,
Make sure you make that appt and wrap up warm. XxFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
