DH got up early. He walked the dog, put the washing in the TD, prepped dinner (cottage pie filling in SC), washed up & emptied TD - all before going to work & while I was in bed
I haven't achieved much. I have covered another chair. That is 3 out of 6 now.
Just had phone call from one of my minded children's mums. She told me that a mutual friend has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She told me because her son is very close to the lady's daughter, and they will be moving to be close to family. She is wanted me to know in case it affects his moods/behaviourSome healing vibes would be appreciated. This lady is only 32 & a non-smoker and she has 3 young children. It breaks my heart thinking about it
I think I need to kick my but into gear & do something! The coffee table has become a Christmas hotspot so I may tackle that.0 -

Bit of a slow start for me today and I have lods to do - need to get motivated, but the lazy teens lounging around aren't helping10lb to lose & keep off in 20204.5lb/10lb:rotfl:0 -
No market today, so it was an extra quick trip. Don't understand why it wasn't on, as they did have it on Christmas Eve.
I bought some bread at the baker's and an A4, page per day diary at the paper shop. It was overpriced, but I was looking all over for one yesterday and I really want to use it from tomorrow.
DS1 has gone to work with his pack up (has to start two hours early so he can get a full shift in before 9pm) and I've made lunch for DS2 and me.
Time for more washing up after that and then I'll take SIL's birthday card and sort my contribution to tonight's buffet (sweet stuff and bread).
Healing vibes are on their way for your friend, Goodintentions. Such sad news.0 -
aw GI what awful news.

1pm anyone?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I know the list sounds hard work & loads on it, but my house is already pretty clean and relatively clutter free so it doesn't take long. Especially when I get my music on loud and get stuck in
Christmas stuff is all packed away and labelled, except for the cards. I have a file on my computer that I write all the received cards in so in theory I don't forget those people next yearI'm using DD's laptop though ATM so I can watch utube so I'll do that later. Started my written list of what I need to buy for next year and made a note I don't need wrapping paper
Off to shove these boxes and the tree in the cupboard, make a cup of soup and then get on with the actual cleaning.
ETA: Valli - I'll join you!!!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
