GI sending love and healing vibes to your friend, such a cruel disease

House is quite straight which is good as we have neighbours coming in for nibbles and fizz for the evening. Just need to go and get a few bits sorted in the kitchen, DS3 can help.

DH is setting up new house phones (in the sale and staff discount so good price) old ones have just about all given up now.
If I don't get back on tonight:

I wish each and everyone of you a year full of happiness and health. Thank you for being here for me this year (it's been a miserable one and you lot will never know how much your support has helped me through), you are true friends and I love you all xx

  • Hi all

I've failed the empty ironing basket challenge. This cold has knocked me for six, my bones ache :(

However technically the ironing basket is empty as the clean washing is still hanging on the indoor line :o

I have managed to fly a little:

    Bathroom cleaned
    Kitchen S&S
    DW emptied
    Floordrobe cleared & bed made

I hope you all have a great 2014 with good health (or improved/manageable health), prosperity and the strength to get through anything life throws at you.

Thank you all for your support, especially when I had to have old boy cat PTS.

I'm off for a lems!p and to lurk.

    Deco x

Wishing Flyladies, Flygents, Flychildren and Flyfurries everywhere a Happy, Prosperous and MSE New Year,

So many of you have already found better words for your New Year's wishes than I can think of, so I hope LW won't mind me borrowing hers. :o

It appears that having a list means I at least get (most) of my extras done. Will need to work on that from tomorrow!

I have, however, frozen 5 packs of turkey stock (worried it would go off) and surprised a friend with some flowers. Important stuff is done, anyway. Now I'll just make up the beds with clean bedding and then follow DS2 next door.

can I echo Dusty's wishes to you all - I've been a Flylady for a long time. I consider it my 'home' on MSE and when I have an attack of CBA this thread gives me the push. I can now get a room looking decent in under 15 minutes, and usually clean in half-an-hour. So, since I have been F/T at work it has been a boon - beciase I haven't descended into 'tipdom'.

So I wish all my Flayday Friends past, present and lurking a Happy, Healthy and, I hope Prosperous New Year. I'm looking forward to another year of sharing in successes and offloading problems.

    Much Love

You may or may not have missed me but I had to just log in and say belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my fly friends. I leave the Clinic a week on Thursday and I will be 28 days sober. I'll see you all on Thursday 9th. Haven't had a chance to read but (((hugs))) to all in need.

Here's wishing each and every one of you a prosperous year in 2014, good health and much happiness, deep reserves of strength for when you need them, and many sticks for the BD if he dares to show his face - and may you enjoy many blessings for all the kindness you show to others. It is a wonderful thing to be part of this Flylady community and you are all very special people!

Happy New Year, hope 2014 is what you wish it to be.

I thought 2013 was miserable but when looking in to more detail
DS1 went skiing & to New York
I got to have a reunion in London with Theatre school friends
    A new bathroom arrived
DS2 spent his first night away at school
My father survived 2 major heart ops
All these events were supported by you lovely flyladies & flymen, thank you so much
  • Long time lurker, my first post on this thread, why not start on a positive? (normally lurk as I don't get around to doing what needs to be done-so slope off with head in shame)

BUT ..... really pleased with myself today:
    Dw emptied
    Floorobe cleared
    beds made
all xmas visitors beds stripped and duvets/pillows stored away
all our own bags from our own stay cleared away
    kitchen S&S
W/M loaded and ready to kick in after midnight
trip to dump to get rid of hoarded stuff!

    phew..need a drink now

only really got to look for appropriate homes for all kiddies new pressies, and some of our own

looking forward to 2014 to a (HOPEFULLY) clutterless home

    happy new year to all:beer:
