I am almost in tears reading the wonderful words written by so many of you today - I echo all the sentiments.
I have met some lovely people through this thread and hope to meet up with them and others next year.
Whether or not we have met IRL, I value your friendship, advice and support more than you will ever know.
Thank you all.Happy New Year"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

been abandoned by the Vallikids (that time of life, what with them being late teens/early 20s) so it's down to you lot to keep me company.
I think I shall have a party next NYE - this (at home, quiet) is SO not me!
I hereby raise a toast to absent friends - those who have left us - Toots, Mummy's LittleBoy and DIVA and those who no longer post

Evening  official list has gone by the wayside today, but managed to declutter a two hour nap this afternoon despite these kidney stones, so feel a bit more human.
Today the ironing/folding basket will not be empty, as one load is on the maiden, one is in the TD and the last is in the WM as I type.....close but no cigar :rotfl: but I will call it a victory as there is next to nothing to go in but the clothes we are wearing right now.
Flying today : a quick visit to Mr T- down to the last loo roll between 3 toilets
A phone call to my DoM and EX MiL
a hour in the kitchen
hoover all of downstairs
had a bath on my own (albeit I was in and out like a yo-yo to phone calls ) to use up dregs of all the shampoos and stuff- even managed to keep the young Skints out to find a Razor
Just sat down to have my dinner and just made a hot chocolate with whipped cream on top.....time to lurk now before disappearing before the clock turns 12 and I turn into a pumpkin.
thank you for putting up with me all year long, for your kind words and sticks for the BD. To quote a friend of mine. "Tomorrow is the first page of a 365 page book. Each day is a fresh page, write in it and make it a good one!" I intend to do my best.
See you "next year":rotfl:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
It's like home again.. I love that so many of our longer term ladies made it over.. it is like going home and being with siblings and grandparents.. all snug like a fluffy blanket.
We've seen a lot of sad days this year, losses of pets and friends and our beautiful Toots, we've had babies and weddings and crazy hair days... and some days .. and weeks.. you have been the only people I've had contact with.. I'm not one for social activities or huge expressions of emotion but there are many of you I would call my friends.. you haven't put me on ignore, you've listened to my woes and whinges and I thank you from the bottom of my fluffy bedsocks for listening and putting up with my crazy life..
I love you lots and I probably would have fallen completely into hoarder paradise without you.
For 2014.. I want 1 thing.. OH to find work.. I don't mind having him here 24/7 but he needs to get out and support his babies and I clean so much better without a man underfoot or sat watching.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Flyladies rapidly find next year's diary to write this in:rotfl:
I'm also here on my own and I'm watching Criminal Minds!! Might try and find something a bit more suitable before midnight!!
And I am also remembering those we have lost - both on the thread and IRL. Hugs and prayers for all xx"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

I'm watching Family Guy!
Have a candle lit for those who have passed. It was 4 years ago yesterday we were told late OH had a tumour. I'm sure wherever our loved ones are they are watching over us, well that's what I believe.
Much love and light to those who maybe/are struggling

I tell you this - if I were you would be welcome - and if you were to bring a sleeping bag you would be welcome to crash, too. Seriously.
In fact, I am sort of watching Hootenanny and thinking - dancing in the DR, bar/food in the kitchen and chill out zone in the LR - and I started off with the dancing in the LR...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
