Late bed last night due to having to drive to Mansfield to pick up DS1(19)...supposed to be at an all nighter but couldnt hack it lol ...in his defense he had been very sick...he is like me and doesnt drink so its either a touch of food poisoning or he has the flu which has hit us this past week....missed me and LOs thankfully.
WM,TD and DW all on...only myself and BabyD up so cant do anything too noisy yet.
Tree and Decs all down this afternoon...BabyD is very sad but I have a surprise for her and LO...I filled their stockings with small treats...hung on fireplace and mostly hidden by tinsel and lights so when decs are coming down it will be a nice surprise for them and hopefully she wont be so sad ...bless her xxFeeding 6 Adults 1 Teen a 8 year old with hollow legs and a very fussy 5 year old. Happy New Year everyone.
Was in bed and asleep by ten. Got woken up at two by the ginger ninja sitting on my pillow patting me. Just had a quick swish round this morning. Decluttering a cuppa then off to a friends for lunch and to see their new dog.
Hugs, spoons and sticks where needed.0 -
Happy New Year to everyone. I decided to watch War Horse last night, so spent the evening sobbing into my cup(s) of tea. Went to sleep in freshly ironed and gorgeously scented bedding, woke up (late!) to a really good hair day (a rare event for me!) but am struggling to find my mojo. Will permit myself a half hour of CBA, then must crack the whip!

Good Morning all
I gave up last night and went to bed by 9.30 :rotfl: I didn't manage to clear my ironing pile but that's fine, sleep was more important to me last night.
This morning I've woken up determined to have a better year this year. I plan on sticking to my resolutions (which I'm going to type out nicely to put in the front of my diary when I buy it) and started off on a great note of discovering I've lost a whole pound in weight since Christmas despite drinking & eating chocolate/sweets almost none stop:rotfl: Then I discovered that DD has borrowed the battery out of my kitchen scales and not put it back. I have no idea where it is (and there's no spare for some reason!) and she's not answering her phone yet! Guess its just healthy eating for me, without the calorie counting I wanted to do until I hear from her! :wall:
Oh well, onwards and forwards. Today I'm doing admin stuff all day. I want to finally sort through all the photos on both laptops and getting them whittled down to just 1 copy (and a back up) instead of 10! I'm also going to update my household notebook. I have a medical page in there which still has ex on it (he moved out in 2008) and has me on meds which I haven't taken for so long I can't remember coming off them!It really does need updating so if DD ever needs to give someone info as I can't she has the right stuff

Update finances - money transfer to where it should be. Will update accounts file when I have my laptop out
Pay work account (check money to pay other bills first)
Sort out Toots list for 2014
Back up photos etc
Update Sig with 2013 figures *gulp*
Right, well I'm off to make another coffee and to make a start on something while I watch "Greatest Stand up Comedians", we need the room on the DVR :rotfl::rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Happy New Year lovelies
Stayed up waaaaaay too late watching The Godfather, not a traditional NYE watch, but I love it, and had me a bit of the young Al Pacino too..yum..:D
Feel like ive been drinking all night today though so just taking it easy, emptied the DW and reloaded it, cleaned it all and opened all non sleeping residents curtains, ds2 and gf still asleep, dd2 and her 3 friends just getting up now, lots of squealing, giggling, carrying on from them last night, which, while noisy was a delight to hear, theyre all 14 give or take so it was just how it should be.
Need to do a small foodshop at Morries sometime today, but thats pretty much it.
Laters dudettes x0 -
Roxy thanks for the Bold info, I am going to Mr S on Friday so will pop a couple in my basket.
Ironing Challenge completed woop woop!
DS went to a house party, so I was taxi service! He said it was ok, I think there is so much pressure to have a 'great night' on NYE that sometimes its a real anti climax!
2013 was my year of making big decisions, leaving OH after 26 years! not made lightly and was painful but feel there is light at the end of the tunnel now
2014- My main objective is to get my OCD problem under control, its ruining my life! I've had 2 sessions of CBT but they haven't helped. Not sure what to do, I must go back to my GP but I feel so ashamed
 Happy New Year to you all. I hope to post more, but if I don't I will be reading.

Running around like an idiot trying to get everything ready for today's get-together. In a couple of hours I will be having a cider and won't care anymore but for now…
Wishing you all a great 2014; you're such a lovely bunch, not at all cliquey like some online communitieswelcoming and supportive and wise beyond your collective years!
Have a smashing dayMWAH! xx

Good day Flylady friends and a very happy new year to everyone. As LavendarBees said on her thread, 'May the best of 2013 be the worst of 2014.'I clean so much better without a man underfoot or sat watching.
 Of all the people in the world who would say that, you are the last I expected to hear it from, Pigpen. SAT WATCHING?!
*picks self up off floor*... and I end up reading the thread and not doing the stuff on it
So it's not just me then. *relief*
Have you received your Flylady cards yet, Cycling Yorkie. If not, I for one would be quite happy to (sort of) resend it ifswim. You deserve them after all the Secret Santa organisation and being such a fab person.
Pixie Fairy Dust, I know nothing about your situation, but I couldn't help but notice that you said you were ashamed about your illness. Would you be ashamed of having chicken pox? We don't chose our illness, it happens to us and sometimes we need expert help to heal. Please take yourself back to your doctor - that's what they're there for.
Dot-to-dotting going on in the kitchen - I now have a supersparkly kettle, toaster and hob. A few stairs have been de-pet-haired, the shower room has been s/and/s'd ready for tomorrow's arrival and another load of onions are in the slow cooker.Better is good enough.0
